Waiting for a more detailed understanding of the gacha mechanics, what other means there are of earning them, and what else we can spend them on. A lot of characters I want aren't in the game yet anyway. Although it wasn't created by nintendo I hope they learn from the mistakes of Pokemon GO, and they end up releasing new peoplr fast, especially from.Jugdral, Valentia, and Tellius

Quite enjoying this game. I'm confused by the difficulty though. Prologue part 3 with Xander seemed harder than the entirety of chapter 1 with Marth.
My best unit so far is a 4 star Frederick who is owning everyone, but I only just unlocked the harder difficulties.
Also just unlocked the castle and upgrading it gives 20% more xp earned per upgrade, so that seems like a great orb investment.
Any ideas how easy it is to farm orbs once you've completed all chapters?

If its like other gacha games, they'll give you a bunch of easy story orbs early, then drip feed you them through events and quests to bait you into using money to supplement the habit.

Excitement has dropped significantly after seeing the stamina costs of hard/lunatic missions. Doesn't look like you can play this much more than 1 hour/day unless you pay for orbs and spend them on stamina.

Will characters always roll the same number of stars, or could some random like Stahl roll 3, 4, and 5 stars?
Everyone I've seen twice (or more) has been the same star count each time, was just wondering if that's coincidence.

I havent gotten much. Got a 4* Palla who is wrecking stuff (She has had 3 level ups with all stats). Other than that just 3* Jagen and Virion (Still using Anna as well since no other green unit), nothing 5* yet.
Hope to get some good green unit on my next summon (need 7 more orbs for 21). Not too worried about the stamina/orbs atm since I don't really have any unit I really want atm.

Finally got a 5*, Marth, after ~10 or so rerolls. Will probably just stick with it and start actually playing lol. How many orbs do you get from the story (which someone mentioned was kind of short)? Should I expect to be able to summon a couple more times before you're forced to purchase orbs?

Something around 150ish story orbs.
You should never be "forced" to purchase orbs, since you're probably always going to get them trickling in. It's just that depending on how badly you want new characters you may need to be more or less frugal with them in order to be able to dump a lot of pulls for their rate-ups. Hence why if you don't really need anyone immediately, it's probably better to save most of your orbs for now.
That said, there doesn't seem to be much of a content goal and the progression elements feel fairly shallow. Unless I discover something I'm not aware of, I don't expect this to keep my interest for very long.

I don't plan to myself, especially if there's 100+ from the story. Awesome. Much more than I expected. Though after I finish everything I might sit on them for a while like you mentioned, once more characters/content appear.

Bear in mind that 150 is spread across all 3 difficulties, so earning them may take quite some time.

I caved in and splurged, and now I'm going through the campaign with 3 5*'s and a 4*. All I wanted was Lyn, but she never dropped

I play the game and I like it, but it's so funny to me when I look back and realize that regular Fire Emblem games are just way better than this, (and without microtransactions). I didn't actually play the pre-3DS FEs, but I'd be willing to bet that there are way better full FE games that you can play on your phone with emulators.
Before FEH, I was playing YuGiOh Duel Links on the bus, and then I realized I could actually play the full-featured GBA YuGiOh games instead, for free, and with much more deck-building freedom :D.
I'm really not sold on this whole mobile gaming business.

I'm really not sold on this whole mobile gaming business. Yeah, I'm actually tempted to finish off my GBA Fire Emblem campaign that I had on hold for a while on my phone.
That being said, I think there's a charm to having an all-star cast in the game. My friends played way more Fire Emblem than I have, and it's interesting hearing them talk about the characters that they're pulling and fighting.

The main problem is that there just isn't a lot to *do* in the game. Once you finish the story on all difficulties, the only thing left is to grind training tower/arena for level-ups and star upgrades.
Presumably there will be event quests and things as they add new content, but it's still disappointingly few things to do compared to similar games.

It's a very clear concern, because the way they are going about things, I seriously doubt they will add sufficient extra content quickly enough. Although it's possible splurgers have already ensured nintendo got its money back on this one

Games like this are pretty much guaranteed to make money, the question is for how long. It just doesn't seem like there's a point to play this other than the card collecting aspect, because the game itself kind of sucks.

I believe one of the developers claimed that they're planning on story updates every two weeks or so. It remains to be seen if this will be for just one level, several levels, or an entire chapter through. I'm having fun with the light tactical aspects of the game as well as the progression elements, but the stamina bar is really annoying.
