Yes, banning people from using the game on public transport will definitely help retain the fraction of players they have left.

If you were seriously against people playing the game passively, the #1 target is big lure piles anyway.

Not disincentivizing searching by making it a blind try would also help.

Fuck!

I was gonna go hit up my Kabuto nest tomorrow. I hope this nest dodged the shift...

Edit: Nests are so well mapped already finding out what they are won't be harder. Just slower.

30% more captures with Excellent curveballs vs regular throws.

Although they add that the number of excellent curveballs wasn't high enough to be statistically valid, the Great throw data points are though.

do i power up a slowbro with water gun psychic or confusion ice beam
i know water gun psychic is the best attack moveset but it seems like the later is strong against grass/poison types (good for defending?)

There are better attackers out there than a slowbro so I will prefer a defensive slowbro with icebeam. Just make sure hes not the lowest few in a gym as training a slowbro is effing annoying as hell. My area is also trending defensive pokemons with icebeam. It just destroys dragonites especially when I don't bother dodging. Time > resources when you are in a big city with lots of pokestops.

In general I think you should favor powering up defenders anyways. The strength of an attacker really only comes down to a matter of resource efficiency and against high level gyms time efficiency. But since you can pick advantageous type match ups on offense you can even minimize that impact with smart pokemon selection. But the CP of a good defender is going to determine your stability in a gym and have much more of an impact on the # of coins you can collect.

Wow, found a Golem in the streets. You don't see that every day.

Nice find! Even without it though, Geodudes are pretty nice buddies because they're 1km/candy.

I'd kill for an Omanyte nest. They're good and one of the last five I need for the NA dex. My local nests turned into Ekans and Ryhorn. Barf.

Jiggly's are easily buddied up as well since they're 1km/candy.

I'd love some more interesting nests. The only nests walkable from me are:

Growlithe (neat, but it's like the 3rd time there's been one)
Tentacool
Eevee
Ponyta
Machop
2 unconfirmed

Not the worst, better than last rotation, but Machop is the only one I need. Hopefully the unconfirmed ones are good.

we had doduo before jigglies, so it was much worse. =)

i would love a growlithe nest. have tons of high cp vapes because i had an eevee nest, would love tons of arcanine.

At least you guys have nests... the one area with 4-7 drowsees at any point in time is always drowsees so I guess you can assume its not a nest?

Can I also say I enjoy the new training system. While if you want the bonus you may have to sub out all 6 of the suggested pokemon its still much easier, less punishing, and waaay easier to get credit towards the training medal (I assume you have to sweep the whole gym to get win credit). Also seems less resource intensive.

A wild Blastoise appears, woo!

Take this for a spin: https://thesilphroad.com/atlas#4/35.64/-98.83

I really like the new prestige system because now there's some insurance for the rare "aw crap, I missed the dodge on that charge move and wasted my time." and if everything is in decent proximity in the gym you can rack up tons of prestige relatively easily.

Honestly, while I'm glad the gym memory leak got fixed, it should have been hotfixed. Made gyming around my area a nightmare for the bigger gyms.

Yeah, its like the one nest in my city just doesn't change with migrations
