I had to reload the muton mission several times because he grenades me like a mofo, I think you have to dodge him and go to the other side of the building, force him to come to you. The trailer side has terrible cover.

I'm not a big fan of majority of missions being time based and especially being on a timer already while you're still concealed. That doesn't make sense. Why is the thing so time sensitive if I coulda scanned a place for a day before even heading to some missions? Timer should start when concealment is broken. And a few of the missions could do with an extra turn or 3 on the timers anyway. Which gladly is moddable, I'm using the timer mod and having far more fun playing the game as a result. | ||

Also not a fan of modding out turn timers, it kinda alters the core of the game and how it's supposed to be played. I mean they probably added the turn timers for a reason. It's nice that there's an option for it, but if you were to discuss the game with someone who played through it with timers it would most likely be like talking about two different games. | ||

Especially on commander and higher. Never trust them to make a clutch play. Also, don't try to go for "melee" range to get that shot in the face. If you trigger the 2nd pack before you kill the 1st, you dun goofed. also: half-cover is a lie. You might as well have no cover at all. | ||

Currently reloading a save with 94% sword rate, 90% hit rate on 2x targets and not once have i hit anything in 20+ tries. It has locked in my death and i have to accept it. | ||

For me the early game was by far the hardest, it has leveled out a bit now once I got armor. Playing on Commander non-iron man. I've loaded twice so far, once on the tutorial mission with the train (lol) and once on another mission where I outsmarted myself something fierce. Put up a ring of overwatch people around an advent drop, moves a guy 1 tile to the left to get hard cover just in case, a mech comes into view from about half the map away and walks in drawing away all my overwatch shots. Find myself flanked by mech and friends as a squad of advent drops in on the other side. Think I have lost 4 guys not including the tutorial people in other missions. Still wondering what your supposed to do with your buildings early on. You have power for 2 buildings, I got a lab and guerilla center for squadsize but it's taking forever to get to a new power node and you can't build anything new, upgrade coms or pretty much anything else. | ||
