Control the spray down. That is the best way. If you do it the other way you might succeed at lower levels (and yes it works at lower levels) but then you will get stuck in a bad habit and get rolled by better players. Its not that hard. You just need to get into the habit of controling the spray down. Ive never tried but there are lots of aim maps and stuff Im sure are quite useful. Also I think theres some guides out there. Very basic stuff but if you have no idea it goes along way. + Show Spoiler + Personally i figured it out myself because 1) Im to lazy, and 2) my 1.6 ego wouldnt let me look shit up so I would just figure it out in DM. But thats not the way I would suggest anyone else to do it. Unless you have someones back turned and you want to guarantee to land a 3-4 bullet burst then you can cheat on this a bit + Show Spoiler + also sometimes the way the models are the head position is wonky with the opponents back turned so you might miss it. Generally with the way angles work once you play enough your natural crosshair placement will be aiming at head level even if your just running around and not really peaking angles. That just comes with practice.

That just comes with practice. 100% this. In higher levels everyone will be aiming on the head and pulling down, and will always have a huge advantage over someone who wastes a couple of bullets aiming at the neck and waiting for the crosshair to pull up. Besides, if you miss on the way up, you're going to have to pull down again making it harder to control the spray vs just starting at the head and controlling all bullets to the same location.

Just aim for the head first and learn how to control the next bullets. Not much more to do than feel it and figure out yourself how to adjust the aim accordingly. Don't forget to try at multiple distances (you can configure that, as long with a lot of other parameters, in the map).

You can also get a 5-7/Tec9 and not care about stopping. ![]()

The Tec9 is the most accurate pistol when running, the 5-7 not as good, but still decent and incredibly powerful at relatively short distance (even in the chest with kevlar, as both have a 90% armor penetration). Both kill with a headshot at short/mid distance even with a helmet. @Nixer: I would think this is quite a bit farther than that for the headshot. I'll try on a custom map with units indications.

All the way to the right side you have "fatal headshot range (helmet)". The numbers are in "units", and you run 250 units per second, or 1000 units in four seconds.

I played sc2 and LoL and I can't remember the last time I played against an obvious cheater in any of those games but just today I met two blatant wallhackers in a row in casual games. I remember cheating was a big problem in cs 1.6 but didn't expect it to carry over to cs:go. Was I unlucky/paranoid or is wide spread cheating a real thing in this game? Cheating is still a ridiculously large problem in cs. I'm facing a hacker probably every 4th match, although it's hard to know for sure as it can be hard to tell a hacker and smurf apart.

I heard in casual there is a lot of cheaters, but once you get into normal competitive matchmaking there won't really be any cheaters at all.
