ok since i started like 6-7 weeks ago i managed to get the basics down quite ok i think. had 8 placements to go (did 2 years ago when i bought cs) , went no too well with weirdos in team, got placed in gn3 but managed to climb to sheriffstar so far.
even tho i usually do well (when i dont have a drunk slump match ;P) i feel like i should start learning the nades. so can anyone give me maybe a list of the 3-5 most important smokes/flashes on the comp maps? or link a video, map(and tell me which are important etc)
also how does mmr change when you have a leaver in team. do you get more points winningrounds 4v5? should you just concede?
and finally im getting a weird bug recently that sometimes when i wanna buy my A1 (hyper beast ) i instead get a skinless m4. which makes zero sense but happened 3 times already. is this known? any reasons?

best way to learn nades is to just learn them all :D. As you get better, you'll start to figure out which nades have higher priority over others. of course, you always have us to help you figure out priority and importance of nades as well as proper usage of them
as for MMR, we really have no info on how it works. There's a lot of speculation and theories but Valve has not said anything so you winning a 4v5 rather than a 5v5 has unknown factors played into it.
When you get the default m4a4 skin rather than your A1 hyperbeast, what happened is that you lost connection to the steam skin servers (This happens rarely) and the game reverts back to the default skins until the connection is restored.

Focus on one map at a time. Learn it, practice it in a server + use it in MM.
Some basic ones off the top of my head, all are T side smokes unless stated otherwise
Dust2, mid to B smoke, Mirage, 3 A take smokes, stairs, jungle, CT Spawn. Inferno, B site, CT spawn + spools (spindle, whatever you want to call it), B site molotovs (look up ring of fire); A site, arch side/porch side, pit from alt mid is useful but can be winged as you take it. Cache, A main smoke (CT side), Z smoke
For flashes, just be comfortable knowing how the different ways of throwing the nades (left click, right click, left+right click). Those help you manipulate how far you want to throw the nades etc.
It's one thing to just look at a video and be like "yeah I'll remember this", but it's another to watch the video, and then practice it several times + use it in game, and have it become second nature. So just play the game, and try to use the nades you've learned so you don't forget.

I have 185 hours in CSGO and am MG1 right now.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT LAST ONE WAS A THING?!?
Please tell me it wasn't a thing in CSS because I've played that on and off since release...

I know its possible but I never do it, since it feels strange to me. So does it matter if you hit left or right and add the other button later on or do you have to hit both buttons at the same time?

Don't feel too bad, I don't think I knew that until 600 hours in . Not sure when they implemented it but I am pretty sure it was in when I started playing.
Last Match Stats --> "Favourite Weapon" doesnt work for shotguns? It shows me "no favourite weapon, hits 0, kills 0, accuracy 0.00" for a competitive match I had 20 kills in.

dont use those stats. They're broken from the start
The outside of game stat tracking system is FUBAR'd in so many ways, it's probably in the far back burner for Valve on their massive list of things to do.
IGL: pronax, karrigan, Happy, TaZ, tough to say but one of gob b/sgares/Zeus
Entry: Too hard to say since the current meta doesn't really have single dedicated entry fraggers.
Support: KRiMZ, NBK, Xyp9x, TaZ, 4everFifflaren
AWP: GuardiaN, kennyS, Skadoodle, JW, device
Lurker: Difficult to say as there are only two big dedicated lurkers atm in Happy and GTR. Fnatic uses both olof and flusha while VP varies between like three people but it seems pasha is the main one now. I guess n0thing is the big lurker in C9 but sgares takes the role too commonly, and it seems like shox has taken up the post again on Titan. Dunno but Happy is the best lurker.
Raw Fragger: I mean... there are so many different factors to fragging. If you're speaking purely aim then I say the guys with the most potential are like, kioshima, flamie, AZR, shox, shroud, byali and a whole list of guys.
FAQ: Why is the evidence replay sometimes jittery? Previously, interpolation, which is used to smooth the transition between the known positions of players, resulted in some situations where the suspect would appear to get a kill while aiming slightly off-target, even though their aim was actually correct. While we investigate potential smooth and accurate solutions, the interpolation of the suspect’s aim was removed from the overwatch demos in order to more accurately represent the suspect’s POV during kills. This may results in a more jittery view in some cases.
Does this mean whenever someone is shooting while not moving and bullets hit while the crosshair is far off the target (not talking about recoil control) it is a cheater? Also these people usually have a headshot ratio of 70% and above.
I've often gotten kills/headshots while not even aiming close to the head, despite having acceptable ping. So I'd say no, definitely not when a player has 50+ ping.
Bad ping/lag means there is a time delay between you and the server. Since replays are severside information (at least I think so) it should show where your aim is (serverside) and not where you aim to (clientside).
Did the requirements for overwatch change? I recall that when I started with GO, you had to be DMG and having 100 wins and a few hundred hours playtime. I got 140 wins by now, about 600hrs playtime and I am Global, but still no overwatch. Could it be because I only play occasionally and even get unranked at times because of it?
