It seems like it requires so much coordination on T side, like when you try to get mid control and need to have eyes on connector, window, and cat to make sure the CT's don't get any free kills. I've been learning the smokes on the map recently but it's pretty useless when only one or two people on the team know them haha

I tend to struggle more pugging T-side Inferno on MM/esea than Mirage. A site smokes are 3 relatively simple ones and most people in MM will know at least those.

Inferno on the other hand, every site you enter, you're walking into a 180 degree crossfire =\ that and paths are so narrow, just asking to get mowed down.

I believe Mirage T side is a lot harder than Inferno T side. Inferno mid is a double edge sword where both CT and T can smoke in order to gain mid control and especially A side has 4 entrance (with smoke rush 2 mid, one balcony, one apart door) and it is harder to do fast rotations from B to A.
In Mirage, sniper room has fast access to A , mid, B underpass and kitchen which basically makes the entry 3v5. Every bomb site can be blocked by one smoke(B can be blocked, other B entrance can be guarded by 2, A has 2 entrance from T side but very wide open etc..). Unlike inferno, you can't smoke mid to gain control where 3 man can instantly pop out to mid(one B short, sniper and connector). I believe even though inferno looks a smaller and claustrophobic map, T has much more space to move.
One thing to admit, Mirage is more open to set smokes and cross side smokes but I couldn't see that much plays in Inferno yet.

Hey guys I just bought CSGO. One of my favorite things to do when learning a new e-sport is to watch some of the most famous games played. So can you recommend me your favorite VODs/games of csgo. Thanks!

When's a good time to prefire? If prefiring gives away position, I shouldn't be prefiring when I'm walking right? I can just peek if they don't know I'm there? If I'm running can I just prefire anywhere I need to because they can already hear me?

I prefire less than most people. The only times I prefire are 1) when I'm rounding a corner and I know for certain someone's hiding there, and 2) when the other team has an AWP and I peek a common AWP spot.

Don't prefire 'anywhere' since you'll run out of bullets!

It's good to prefire common angles. Good example is T side Inferno, because there are a lot of common angles to hold on that map. For example, arch side peeking mid, certain areas in B site.

Another good time to prefire is when your teammate dies in front of you, so you know where the enemy is, and you prefire him to try and get the trade kill.

While you would likely run out of ammo if you prefire every angle, most rifles (ak/m4a4) have 120 bullets for you to use, so you can shoot away. Just gotta be more safe with the m4a1 since you only have 60 bullets with that.

If you want to stay silent, yes, prefiring is a bad idea, unless you've already spotted out the enemy and want to get the jump on them.

It's more the fact that if you're running around prefiring everywhere you're gonna have to reload if you suddenly find yourself battling it out. Gotta be efficient.

You'll never have to shoot more than 15 bullets at a given time at a decent level, if you miss that many you're probably dead
Prefiring is good if you know angles and you know you can give your position away. If you're not sure of what you're doing, just practice peeking the exact right spot where the head should be first in my opinion. You'll also need to master counter strafing. No better feeling than one taping AWPs with a deagle at common spots once you get good at it :D

That's not true even at a professional level. You see plenty of people run out of ammo and die just because they have to switch to pistol. Truth is stuff happens and long fire fights are entirely common, especially if you're up against more than one person.

You shouldn't prefire just to prefire. That goes doubley if you have a M4A1-S. There is such a thing as efficient and smart prefiring.

With peeker's advantage you really don't have to prefire much anyway unless you're up against an AWP. That is, if you have decent reaction speed.

In a 1V1 it's pretty hard to run out of bullets in my opinion, but yeah you're right there will be a second guy around the corner most of the time. I think as T you should always prefire common spots, especially AWPing ones, because the chance of getting a kill with a headshot is just too good to pass on. You usually have a safe position to fall back on to reload then anyway. If you're pushing a site though, wasting your ammo may not be the best idea.

From experience as a viewer and a player, there are many more times where players die because they run out of bullets compared to the amount of times they get a kill off a random prefire.

Just be smart about it. Do not prefire every angle. That's silly and unnecessary.

Sure, that's not what I meant either :D It's situational anyway, but really good on common angles in my opinion.

I'd say that it's dependant on the tactic and situation. When charging a site as T, or retaking as CT, it's very strong. The most common spots that can't be mollied, naded or smoked off should be pre-fired. When setting up or clearing to set up it's as bad since this will give away your position and make a proper rotation easier.

Double peaking is always better then prefiring though and explains why most pro's don't prefire as much as you'd think.

if you're serious about playing cs:go competitively, i would strongly suggest that you dont just play with only using the wrist at the edge of the desk since cs:go rewards having a low sensitivity and having a bad mouse position like that will adversely affect you.

that being said, your best bets are mice with optical sensors (since they have better tracking). the two best ones with optical sensors and are 50 euros or less are Zowie brands and Steelseries' Rival. I can contest for the tracking and feel quality of the Rival: it is god like, only issue it has is that the rubber on the side of the mouse can wear off quickly and i know that almost all the top NA pros use zowie since they are fantastic. In fact, i'll tack on the smaller logitech mice (g100s, etc) that are small and good to use as well.

thanks!

(i can cancel the order if people have better suggestions)

most people will suggest to start around 2.0 sens with 400 dpi. The Zowie EC2s are fantastic as well and are a solid choice

I hold the mouse the same way as you and I play at 3 sensitivity+400 DPI. My sensitivity is probably still too high but I can do fine at LEM.

Is there any thread that list pro's crosshairs?

I don't know about a thread but I know there's a workshop map that let you try pretty much every single pro crosshair setting. I just don't know that the name of said map is.

edit : found it, the name is crashz' Crosshair Generator v2.
