Light's Hope Chapel is nothing compared to Karazhan though. Theres nothing mystic about the place anymore for starters and nowadays it's simply a base. Karazhan on the other hand is still very much surrounded by magic, Medivh's spirit and supposedly something else (Karazhan's clean-up before WoD). There's still Khadgar in the picture as well. Not to mention the theory that Lower Karazhan is actually real, which in the future could be (big) part of the lore. Burning Legion to use it (or Karazhan) as a portal for invasion(s) later, for example. If i'd have to bet what Karazhan would have to do with Mages, it's probably going to be something about their artifacts. Mages probably have their own tower in Dalaran somewhere, if not some other significant place (other than previously speculated) for mages.

Notable things are no weapon drops, only your artifact weapons. Demon Hunters only have one weapon type (glaives) which given the aforementioned no weapon drops thing probably means little. Karazhan will be of importance and Khadgar is now leading the Kirin'Tor. Class wise hunters are massively changed as survival is now melee with pet, beast mastery is ranged with pet and marksman is no pet while demonolgy will be more focused on the pets than metamorphosis. Perhaps the news that people would be most eager to hear, class halls are multiplayer and garrisons are staying in Draenor. I hope i get this fucking horse in Kharazan after farming it for more than a year. If they redo the dungeon and delete the horse i'm going to be pissed ! I just hope that you can transmog the weapons because frost mage staff looks like... well it's ugly.In a game that's all about loot. "deleting" loot is kind of weird.

That's because melee hunters don't make a lot of sense. Hunters don't walk up to their prey and then grapple with it. They use guns, bows, throwing spears, blowdarts or basically anything they can use from range in order to NOT get face to face with a nasty clawed, fanged, muscled and strong beast. Hunters in classic+TBC (little bit WOTLK but not as much) were on some level ranged+melee hybrids where you'd have at least 2 melee range abilities on your main action bar at all times, especially as survival. I guess they're just snapping back from making them absolutely ranged only with no more having both weapons. Glad to hear MM = no pet. I don't really enjoy having 10% of my damage come from a pet. BM is fine doing most damage from pet and the non-pet damage being heavily based on Barrage and Kill Shot - but Marksmanship, worrying about babysitting the pet and telling it to attack the right targets instead of it trying to run to whatever you shoot at every time you attack something just wasn't fun for me. I will definitely be rolling a demon hunter. The concepts appeal to me even more than death knights did (which i find don't suit me all too well after their cata, MOP and WOD changes) and: ![]() you can never have enough horny night elf girls with double jumps! Also Sylvanas: + Show Spoiler + ![]() WOTLK model ![]() Is this in-engine in WoW? probably improved textures+polycount as well as adding armor (looks great!) but DAT LIGHTING

I assume his point is that PvP gear is lower ilvl and scales up inside BG/Arena so in World PvP you get owned because of your lower ilvl compared to raiders. The answer to that is imo that world pvp is an illusion. Yes it sometimes happens and then it can be great but 90% of the time outdoor pvp is some guy getting ganked which isnt fair to begin with.

So, if I am a top arena player in the world (In top PvP gear ofc) and I am getting ganked by above average PvE guy and I am getting 1-shotted because his PvE gear is better than my PvP gear in FUCKING PVP. PVE GEAR IS BETTER IN PVP THAN PVP GEAR! That is totally fair!

I mean we have been dealing with the reverse for years I am the great Drazerk i am the top healer on my realm all bow before my healing might. Oh shit I just got 2 shot outside the raid by some random asshole who pvp'd for a week. Pretty much the only time I ever see pvp on my PVP realm is ganking PVE people when they are waiting for raids or a high level person killing level 30s over and over Personally i'm glad world PVP is dying it basically died when flying mounts got added in TBC

WoW is obviously not capable of dynamically adjusting item level (finally got your point from earlier btw. Sorry) and if they keep PvE and PvP gear equal itemlevel then at some point one type of playing is going to be forced to play something they dont want because an item from the other side is optimal. I dont think Blizzard values world PvP much either so the price is in their position worth it. Edit: And as Drazek said. Before you would die in full Mythic (equivalent) gear because some PvP'er came along in his blues with Resilience.

By TBC there were far less people in the leveling zones and it didn't happen nearly as much. There was a decent amount of random stuff in the places like Halaa but really not that much, they were dead quite a lot of the time. Was more like something that came up once or twice a week than something you could do for hours every day I don't really have any decent world pvp memories post-WOTLK as someone who didn't pvp a ton at the time i liked wintergrasp a lot, not sure why they stopped doing vehicle mechanics 5 years ago. It was the best world pvp zone that i've seen and got a big fight going like every 3 hours. Ashran is permanantly on but it's permanantly boring too. I think world pvp died largely because of more and more people spending their hours on max level chars. It's been quite a while since WoW heavily incentivized you to spend 10 hours a week doing stuff in a populated open world zone - you can go farm, but you'll be at some place alone because nobody else is farming that material enough for the farm spots to be busy. You won't be at the throne of elements with 9 other dudes trying to get Primal Fire (i had uncounted kills and deaths there)

Additionally your inactive account can also play characters up to 20 without re-activating. To play past 20 you would indeed need to buy WoW for him and pay a sub for your account. All unknown at this time. Tho I expect a release in the Feb-May range but thats 100% not based on facts Why do people PvP in Call of Duty? The gear rewards are seemingly gone, they specifically mentioned they didn't like that a higher ranked player was more powerful because of the higher rank. In return you get cosmetic rewards of varies kinds by repeatedly gaining the new ranks (like Call of Duty Prestige system). I wonder a bit about the gear myself. There still needs to be some PvP gear to put everyone on an even playing field and stop PvE gear from being superior. I would guess they keep the current system of cheap Rare quality gear that scales up in PvP and remove the better Epic version (turning it into a transmog reward instead) Well the problem with that comparison is that in CoD, it is all PvP. In WoW, you have the option of PvP and PvE. So I can PvP and get these cosmetic which at the end is just really empty rewards OR I can PvE and get set pieces along with legendary items. Even though legendary has lost their meaning over a few expansion, they are still legendary and are pretty damn cool or maybe fancy trinkets is fine. I will admit that with this change, PvP will be more balance than it could ever be which is good but without any actual reward, I have a hard time envisioning anyone actually PvPing, more specifically Arena, for long when there are so much other things to do in WoW once you reach max honor level.

Everything they announced is cool and all and it sounds amazing . . . IF some of the stuff actually makes it into the game and doesn't get cut then I'll get my excitement back. After 10 years, WoD finally blew up the trust I had for Blizzard.

IF some of the stuff actually makes it into the game and doesn't get cut then I'll get my excitement back. After 10 years, WoD finally blew up the trust I had for Blizzard. I mean, is the issue you have is that you're skeptical because of the the features promised will actually get into the game, or are you not interested what they're promising to begin with? I'm hyped for it, but I 100% get your reluctance. WoD was all about moving goal posts and cutting corners. For an expansion I think we could say it took away more than it gave to the game as a whole. Idk, I do have my reservations, I love the idea of class identity, and class quests being more of a thing, but if its supposed to be how we're supposed to be progressing our characters, I wonder what kind of activities that will include.
