Everything they announced is cool and all and it sounds amazing . . . IF some of the stuff actually makes it into the game and doesn't get cut then I'll get my excitement back. After 10 years, WoD finally blew up the trust I had for Blizzard.
I mean, is the issue you have is that you're skeptical because of the the features promised will actually get into the game, or are you not interested what they're promising to begin with?
I'm hyped for it, but I 100% get your reluctance. WoD was all about moving goal posts and cutting corners. For an expansion I think we could say it took away more than it gave to the game as a whole.
Idk, I do have my reservations, I love the idea of class identity, and class quests being more of a thing, but if its supposed to be how we're supposed to be progressing our characters, I wonder what kind of activities that will include.

I hope its Kara, one of the cool things is that they made it sound like all the class halls were scattered around the world, and thats what I want more than anything, is more reasons to be out in the world, and I saw a screenshot with Acheus floating on the map of Broken Isles, and having 2 out of 12 classes' have a homebase so nearby is kinda lame to what it could be.
I'm skeptical of all the features they announced making it into the actual game. Everything they announced sounds cool and it makes me excited but not as I was excited for previous expansions and besides theres no point in being excited about something that may or may not make it into the final game. I learned my lesson from WoD.

IDK, nothing was really "scrapped" that was advertised on that trailer. There were a lot of stuff outside of the trailer that was scrapped, I get your reservations, but I'm not sure what I would label as shaky ground that they would scrap. Legendary weapon/progression of that the most glaring thing I think they might say "fuck it" and scrap, God forbid.

Was still kind of a letdown because we had a bunch of fucking tents instead of a giant citadel. But w/e.

i still don't know why we didn't just use Bladespire / Karabor given we already had them for quests and it took more effort to build the ashran cities than it would have to simply make a phase where those cities are actually cities.

Yeah, there was scrapped content, but nothing super super major like something that would be announced in a trailer.
Like how Cata cut out Path of the Titans and Wrath cut out Dance Studio. So IDK, I think they'll put everything in the trailer, it's implementation though, is a whole nother story.

To be fair it would have literally been "What zone is the current raid in" placement.

The story in WoD definitely has issues imo. Iron Horde + Legion was simply to much to fit into the 2 raid tiers imo. Which is what has me worried for Legion where they have like a dozen storylines.
We blew up their Foundry and.. thats it. The Iron Horde is done, Gul'dan has taken over. All hail the Legion. I would have preferred to see 6.2 being entirely about the Iron Horde still with us digging them out of a fortified Tanaar. To avoid Garrosh 2.0 as a final fight they could have had us fight Gul'dan as the final boss with him escaping and setting up the tie in to Legion.

I think that the Iron horde + Legion could have been done - Had we had more garrison campaigns that led into it as well as the legendary chain.
If we had a bunch of solo quest bosses like the legendary quest chain to help wrap up the Iron Horde plot line we could have easily transitioned into Guldan taking over a bit easier and then expanded on that even more in Tanaan if we had it progress like we did on Isle of Quel Danas. Basically we needed more quests and longer quests

Please god no more garrison campaigns
i just learned that we defeat socrethar in shattrath in a garrison campaign. My alliance char has been max level for 5 months and it has never popped up even once. Completely terrible design.
Even the Tanaan campaign which had like only 3 options on the weekly rotation had us rescueing Ariok 2 weeks before the story showing that he was still alive and doing stuff before getting captured.

You probably accepted one of the missions and then cancelled a followup mission. There is an easy way to find out whether youre stuck on a part on wowhead. Not that it's required, but like you cant complain about lore missing if you didn't bother doing the quest. Not everything needs to be server on a silverplatter in a themepark raid. Between regular questing, 5man dungeons, garrison campaign and highmaul + brf we did a lot of destroying the iron horde, so this is one point i dont understand where the critique is coming from. How much more iron horde do you fucking want. That doesn't make the bait and switch at the end and what happened with grom any more acceptable of course.

I've done a bunch of them before. That's just confusing. There's no guide for how it works and if you fuck it up, wait a month and a half hoping that the quest will come up? I'm complaining about bad content design here, not lack of content.
Another interview, things include no Ruby Sanctum style linking raid. Artifacts can be transmogged, additional toon slot for demon hunters, legendaries will be left alone and they expanded upon the class hall concept basically that the missions you send your champions on will have a more notable interaction with you when you go to the zone they're in.

no no, its worse than that. You get a questchain each week in your garrison if you dont currently have one active. But if you cancelled one of the quests during that chain, you might have completely forgotten about it and the npc who has the followup quest is standing somewhere at the end of draenor. Check out the second and third comment how to check if youre stuck on a chain http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=9491/the-garrison-campaign#comments Yes, it's terrible design but that's not the point. I was arguing that people shouldnt complain about a lack of iron horde, that they get defeated so easily/suddenly, because they werent.

But there are many chains, so it can take months or more to get one or not because of RNG
it's like harrison jones you had to do ~6 daily quests, but i took an average time of 2 weeks to do them with periods of up to several months where all of the quests didn't spawn - and that's DAILY quests, not weekly.
