Is it possible that this raid is somewhat easier than BRF was? My guild at least killed things much faster than in the previous 2 raids. Fights are good though regarding mechanics and stuff.

I mean I quit playing WoW a few months ago so I have no first hand perspective, but from the perspective of watching PTR footage and reading the dungeon journal entries, it seems that these fights all have a big "USE COOLDOWNS HERE" phase that makes CD coordination very easy, so most fights just come down to dodging shit.

fight are being researched way more, so there's less figuring out for people to do. once you have the correct strat, things go much faster.

I don't think so. I'd even say the tuning is higher, if you're in i665 gear you'll hit a wall on the later bosses of Normal

We have set bonuses from BRF going into HFC which are powerful, there were none from highmaul to BRF.

Highmaul and BRF are both tier 17. We went into them with a huge amount of overpowered BoE's at raid ilvls.

Imperator normal was designed for i630, yet a bunch of high end guilds had all of their raiders at 650-660 the moment the raid opened. That was past what was needed for heroic, too.

Archimonde normal seems designed for ~690, hc for ~705 but still quite harshly tuned in both cases. The end bosses seem to be balanced as if you're taking a bunch of resets to reach them and gearing up meanwhile

A guy just told me that the things you get from work orders there a couple times a day can be used to instantly complete naval missions, even the 48hr+ ones. I replaced my dwarven bunker on the spot

It's worth noting that the drop rate of the mission complete orders seems to have been reduced in 6.2. I've not gotten a single one since the patch dropped

The apexis crystals stills makes it pretty much just better than the war mill though


Day of patch I had 21 orders ready to go. Netted me 9 completion orders. Since then I've had work orders going and gotten 4 more. Didn't notice a huge drop in the drop rate.

They really help though. Level 2 shipyard and finished 2 pieces of legendary quest and 7 treasure quests already.

Shrug, I'd heard reports of people seeing very few and it matched my experiences. I hadn't gotten any til today (although I got 3 today so there's that)

Do someone have the really annoying bug where a 1day naval mission do not last 1 day ?

Verified it and notified blizzard this week end because Friday i had a "1day" naval mission and came back saturday to find : "1 day and 16hours left". The naval mission is still not finished... This morning i had something like "6hours remaining".

Decided to do a late night shits and giggles run, BRF normal with some guildies. 1 tank 1 healer and 4 dps. Pretty fun full clear :D BH was the only one who wiped us 2 times, bad RNG in last phase with bombs.

I now have 11 shipyards. I am a masochist.

All these alts came in handy though. Ran Kazzak 11 times for 128 Felblight total.

It still takes me 10-12 wipes to kill heroic Hans+Flamebender+Kromog unless i ask for curve achievement, even after the 1.25x health and damage nerf

If anyone wants to do run stuff in brf on eu-alliance, throw me a pm

What was everyone in the high end guilds doing exactly with split runs? It seems like after 4 days there was only 1 heroic archimonde kill and now suddenly in the last day or 2, it was killed by 100 guilds

Few guilds seem to be able to kill the last bosses in general - my guild was listed as ~50'th on silvermoon at 12/13 normal, yet nobody had killed archimonde on any difficulty by when we reached him on monday night according to one of our priests (i just checked it, and there are few kills now)

I'm actually using my Felblight since garrisons still yield a lot of gold. It's just nice to not have to run around farming nodes for it. Depending on my luck I might have all three of my crafted pieces upgraded this week.

As for split-runs it's probably for the extra loot. I'm assuming that if you can clear most of the instance with half your raid on alts you can funnel twice as much gear to mains and then just consolidate to finish it off.

So am i

but i sold it at like 600g a piece and rebought it at 450g a piece like 3-4 days later to upgrade stuff. Doing that transaction 20 times actually saves 3k (wow such money)

There will likely be a patch 6.3, and 6.2 provides a ton of catch up mechanisms.
  1. Kazzak drops iLvl 705 cloaks, wrists, and necklaces. The trinkets he drops are gimmicky but if you don't have anything close to that iLvl then they're good as well. Run him every week.
  2. All chests and rares in Tanaan have a chance to drop Baleful tokens which provide iLvl 650 gear. For 20000 Apexis Crystals you can upgrade the gear to iLvl 695. That sounds like a lot, but Tanaan's daily quests give 5000+, and if you double up your garrison daily with a scouting missing you can easily get 7500+ Apexis Crystals a day.
  3. You can also run Mythic dungeons for iLvl 685 gear (or 705 if it's Warforged).
All of that is free (except for time). If you want to spend money and resources you can also craft three pieces of gear. Up to iLvl 685 it'll be relatively cheap, but past that you'll need Felblight which is fairly expensive at the moment. Still, for the purposes of catching up you can fill whichever slots are giving you trouble that way (Shield/Offhand or Trinket being the most likely).
