And big ass barrack lvl 3: Behold some more! While everyone has their own preferance I say horde got majorly screwed over with the garrison visiuals. I don't understand this shit at all. You guys are playing Horde. Horde has Orcs as its main faction race, Alliance has Humans. It's ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS. The Garrisons look exactly like how you'd expect a typical Human or Orc base from Warcraft 3 to look. The only complaint I can see any kind of validity in is the regional differences as Shadowmoon Valley is definitely a much prettier zone than Frostfire Ridge. But therein lies the whole concept behind the two faction bases. Alliance looks comfortable, Horde looks gritty and rugged. That's the entire point. If you didn't like that theme why in the hell did you roll on the Horde in the first place? Did you expect the nearly extinct Blood Elves to do all of the building for you? i think the Horde Garrison looks great. The only thing it's really missing IMO is an Altar of Storms, otherwise it looks just like how an Orc base should look.

Yeah the barracks are the same model that theyve used ever since warcraft 2.

Horde garrisons may be less interesting (mostly due to Frostfire being less interesting than Shadowmoon) but like you say, it's consistent with the surrounding style/lore. Let's be honest the Horde has had amazingly sick art direction for a long time now. I think they can live with this one lol. I'm glad the alliance got a bit of love here. I love Shadowmoon a lot and I love the alliance garrisons. I played Horde for the first two expansions and I'm always Horde at heart, but I've been rolling primarily Alliance toons with friends ever since Wrath released. For the first time in over 5 years, I don't have to be insanely jealous of what I'm missing out on :D Not sure why but this discussion reminded me of another thing art direction topic in this expansion... Who else is glad NIGHT TIME is slowly returning to Azeroth?! Ever since Cata, I think, most if not all of the zones never really had a true night cycle; a time that really felt dark. Every night was a consistent kind of "pale sunset", a lingering light that felt like perpetual dusk. And that was at BEST. Some zones didn't even cycle at all! It was something I loved and missed about the earlier days of playing the game because I tended to play in evenings and fell in love with certain zones as a new player. One of my most distinct memories is Mulgore with the reflection of the moon across the plains. Rumor was that they took out night time because folks that could only play at night didn't like that it was dark all the time and couldn't experience the world in the daylight, but for me it was the opposite. Those memories stuck with me because it was when I was first playing the game. That nostalgia factor. Years later when they changed it I noticed when it WASN'T dark anymore, and hated that the world didn't have the same contrast and day/night evolution that it used to.

Guilds with healers that all have one have had a much easier time healing things cuz they can use more high mana abilities during high damage phases and not go oom. They can heal up avoidable damage and not go oom. Margok is a 12-13 min fight, so healers are using it a solid 5 times for an extra 105k mana :o None of my guild's healers have one ![]() what is this BoE trinket you speak of?

There have been highly upvoted posts on Reddit as well as tons of forum posts all from Horde complaining about how much better the Alliance Garrisons are. It's such a stupid thing to be complaining about IMO. The Horde style of art has been consistent for the entirety of WoW except when we started to see a lot of Garrosh's influence which was supposed to be dark and modern which was against the shamanistic nomadic roots of the Orc, Troll and Tauren roots under Thrall, Cairne and Vol'Jin.

Well perhaps I should rephrase. I think most reasonable folk will just bite the bullet and move on. As mentioned, it's consistent with the faction design post-Garrosh and is suited to the zone where it's located. I'm not surprised there's people upset, and with a playerbase this large I'm not surprised it's a very LOUD upset. Classic Blizz fans. But there's no reason to complain other than "it's not cool and I like the other one better"
