Why is some smug fuckwit in charge of balancing? That communication is horrible.

Someone who was factually wrong and had no idea what he was talking about was bitching, got what he deserved.

Except he's not factually wrong, in no raid test above 2 minutes did demo ever perform 33% better then they should have, and if you want to say they did prove me wrong.

Seems like he's taken a class that was slightly above middle of the pack and then put them down to tank dps.

Then again, people are morons and scrubs bitching on twitter about balance way more so. Dealing with that kind of stupidity every day must be really taxing, even modding just TL sometimes makes me want to start banning entire threads...

I really need to find that fucking quote about "jaw-dropping mage dps at level 70" that resulted in the class more or less not being viable for raiding in t6 content.

I guess it's sort of expected with locks being broken throughout this expac that the next one they'd be significantly worse.

That said, seems kind of shitty that instead of listening to them when they said they'd be op (like that whoe debacle with uvls) and fixing the problem then they're going to gut them in the follow up.

In test after test, our jaws are consistently dropping at the sheer damage output we've seen from the mage at level 70, so I do think that some of the panic here is unwarranted. These results are directly what have led to some of the changes such as the one to elemental precision. Damage = zomg.

It's really nothing new. That's how Blizzard as a company has operated for nearly a decade now; lie to customers, talk down to them, and the biggest thing that still pisses me off is how they cover up all of their mistakes. To this day they still deny hacks/dupes in WoW, and in most cases will ban you from the forums if you question them about it. It's quite sickening.

If recent years have shown us anything it's that Blizzard outright encourages that kind of behavior from their team members. One great example of this is Jay Wilson, and how he was promoted to a lead position on Titan for having a public meltdown over Diablo III. Tseric was another great example from back in the day, where he would literally go around belittling customers on the forums.

I guess you've never played Ubisoft or EA games?

I have, but this is a thread about World of Warcraft. Just because other companies are awful doesn't mean it's acceptable for Blizzard to go that route as well. You won't see me posting that in an EA/Ubisoft thread because, well, pretty much everyone already knows and accepts how terrible those companies are. The issue with Blizzard is that they are just as bad but for some reason people constantly defend them like they are the holy grail of gaming.

Ten years ago? Yeah, Blizzard was amazing. Time to put down the nostalgia glasses, though; they haven't been the same company for a long while.

The fact that they communicate with their players at all puts them way above most big game designers. I'm not saying Blizzard hasn't gotten worse compared to 10 years ago but they're still head and shoulders above other big companies. A little perspective in this is all I'm advocating.

I'm just sad that I didn't get to try arms on the beta before it was nerfed. 600% weapon damage strikes sounded like fun.

Moonkin here. Although I'm a bit worried about the WoD Druid changes (especially the annoying automatic travel form, ugh), at least one of the three other specs is bound to be somewhat viable. The current moonkin rotation does get stale after a while though, so looking forward to some changes to spice things up.
