You could also just have your guild craft you something at this point in the expansion. If you had to have weapon+trinkets and didn't want to abuse the ilvl system, the honor weapon is 522 and only takes a few hours to get, and a few of the PvP trinkets are passable for raiding.
I certainly think going the PvP route is a lot easier, faster, and less stressful than running old LFRs (especially once you factor in how awful players in previous-tier LFRs are). My path of progression when I hit 90 was Timeless Isle > one SoO LFR > first two wings of SoO Flex > normal mode SoO. I only started ToT LFR the next week since it still had my BIS trinket.

How did you get to play flex so fast Serejai? People on my server asks for a 540+ on flex, and I got 528 after playing quite a bit. Will still take some time to get my ilvl to 540.

Running ToT LFR is an option, but tbh you can just run it a couple of times before getting 496 and being ready for SoO. It's not comparable to having an entire tier of contnet (or some proper 5 man dungeons).

Well if you ever want the legendary cloak, you have to run ToT LFR eventually.

Speaking of which, I know they said that the cloak will last some time into WoD, but have they said how far? Leveling, 5 mans, raid tier?

I'm on a quest to get the endless tank achievement on my warlock. It's pretty difficult for obvious reasons :p

I ran flex so fast because I didn't use that shitty oQueue addon or Trade chat. I just ran with friends from other servers.
Made the mistake of trying a few oQueue groups the following week. Never again.

At 585 I would never enter flex unless I'm trying something new, getting carried by guildies, or carrying guildeys. Fuck oque.

Shadow Priest is just an exercise in futility. Nothing like losing out to a frostmage who casts nothing but Frostbolt when you hit your timings almost perfectly for a whole fight. At least my raid heal is useful r-right?

Frost is hilarious though, people were bitching at me to switch to Fire while ToT was current, despite me out-dpsing the more geared mages in my guild.

Good thing Frost gameplay is going become a bit more complex/busy in WoD. Although, even now, I find it more difficult to play Frost perfectly than Shadow, because at high levels of haste, it becomes extremely difficult to avoid proc munching.

Spriests aren't that bad at top end though on warcraft logs when the fights are 2 minutes long. They even beat destro, therefore shadow priests are better then destro warlocks in pve progression.

Honestly most fights are probably <2 minutes now. I stopped playing a few months after ToT came out. I really can't believe people are still raiding all this time later.
