Cata and wotlk five mans as a dk? You can probably be naked as long as you're level 90.

Can I boost lvl 90 character? I really don't need new class at max level, I just want to get maxed out professions. Is that even possible?

No, it needs to be lvl 89 or lower. If you just want the professions, level something to 60 and boost it.

I'm currently doing the legendary quest, and it turns out I need 3000 valor. Which will take 3 weeks! Is there anything I can start saving up that I will eventually need? I'm thinking of grinding rep with the black prince while I wait, but is there anything else? Also, what's the fastest way to get valor?

Dude it used to be 6000 ok? lol. Dungeon probably? LFR takes way too long and requires luck of having a good group.

I believe heroic dungeons or heroic scenarios are your best bet for massing valor.

You can also get some from daily quests IIRC. Keep in mind that you should feel free to spend the valor... you don't need to amass it all! I made that mistake lol.

Keep in mind you need to earn 3000 valor from the moment you accept the quest. So don't pool it thinking you need to save 3000. Make sure you spend and don't get capped at 3k.
If i had a dollar for everyone i know who misinterpreted that part of the quest i could buy myself a mighty lunch.

Looks like now is the best time to do the legendary quests:
Beginning Tuesday, June 17 at 9:00 a.m. PDT, through Monday, June 30 at 9:00 a.m. PDT, we’ll be applying the Gaze of the Black Prince buff which will increase the reputation gained with the Black Prince by 100%. It will also increase the chance of obtaining items from his foes needed as a part of the Legendary Cloak quest line including: the Secrets of the Empire, Sigil of Wisdom, Sigil of Power, or Titan Runestone.
You can also buy 100 valor for 3000 timeless points.

It's not strange that they change the legendary quests though, the whole cape will be pretty pointless once the expansion comes out. I will probably spend the summer getting the cape, and since I don't play during the semester, when I play again next time during christmas I can get better gear by doing a dungeon
Edit: Also, farming rep is really easy (got 12000 in 40 minutes or something last night), so it's not that big of a deal. I still need 3 weeks to get the required valor, and by that time the buff won't apply (to the items that are easier to get now).

The best way to farm valor is dungeon and scenario, if you are a tank/healer, do a scenario once to get the full amount and then just chain heroics, you will cap out fast enough ( also if you are still grinding for gear in LFR, do those as well since you get valor anyway ) As a dps, if found that queuing for a Heroic and then doing a scenario is the fastest way, as you get out of the scenario, the Heroic queue should pop-up right away, so you dont have any downtime.
For rep grind, go to the thunder islands ( you must have unlocked the whole thing first ) and from the alliance camp, take the south road until you come upon a panda camp fighting mogu statues, those give about 80 rep a kill, spawn quite fast ( about 20 sec respawn time ) and if you are too weak, you can use the panda camp to help you kill them. I farmed those while waiting for me heroic queue to pop, i was able to get from friendly into exalted in under 3 hours ( being a human mind you )
I have done that quest on 2 of my char and this is the most boring one ever made, i hope they don't redo this ever again ( especially having to wait 3 weeks just because valor cap at a 1000, thats just bullshit!)

The Blizzcon Q&As drove me nuts. The art guy in the general Q&A said "Somebody ask me about quivers and stuff. I have an answer for you [unintelligible]. And nobody asked. I've been keeping my Worg Hide Quiver as a bag for all these years, hoping it'll some day become visibe again.

Nah, the legendary cape will be pretty useful for some classes/specs most likely until level 100 just because of the passive such as the "cheat death" passive for the tank cloak.

They got removed in Cata ( you still could craft arrows, in fact crafted arrows were the highest dps one in the game ). They had some plan to make something else out of it but it just got scrapped
