I've tried the first turns on this map like 10 times before, and always had some acceptable neighbors... Now as I received turn2 i generated about 20-30 more maps to recreate the neighbors I have right now to test some combatstrategies and check how many units I need... I simply can't get as shitty ones... But hey, at least my ass is well protected ^^

My neighbours don't seem that bad, it's just that I'm not sure if I can beat most of them yet or not I'd rather not take huge risks yet. Earlier this week I tried the same map against 7 AIs as LA Marignon. It took me 4 turns to conquer the first province :E That kind of bad luck in a multiplayer game would make me quickly consider changing myself to an AI.

Having no scoregraphs makes all those first turns and unspecific posts here so mysterious :D Anything could have happened already!

Does anyone know how intel works, for that matter? Under what conditions do you see army content in adjacent provinces? Does having a scout actually in that province make it more accurate, or provide more information about monsters/leaders? What about province population/resources?

But yeah, as everyone here pretend they have the most lousy start ever, if it probably an even game. Or everyone is bluffing and already sitting at 6 provinces :D

If I'm not mistaken "blind" reports can vary from -50% numbers to something like +200% numbers. Having a scout in the prov gives pretty accurate reports as far as I know. As far as starting positions go, I might just take the shit-cake in the long run ![]() ![]()

Scouts make the scout reports more accurate and greatly reduce the range of possible information. Having dominion in the province also helps, and if you're Arco, having Dominion gives you completely accurate reports (as long as the enemy isn't glamoured or has items which make their army appear larger/smaller).
