KH is the only positive from all that. Most others are multiplatform. Killzone is just bad. Going to have to see is PSN is still shitty and how many more people are on XBL comparatively. All these games coming out are mostly MP and persistent worlds, population will be a factor and XBL has always had more people. Pretty happy with Sony overall, finally. Infamous is awesome. Doesnt look interesting at all. Currently the only thing i feel i missed out on without ever getting a PS3 was God of War, Demon Souls and now The Last of Us You don't seem to be a fan of console games in general, what do you normally play if none of those looked appealing to you? I have 60 xbox360 games sitting next to me. Not counting the GC/Xbox/Ps2 games. What im saying is i dont see how people think Sony smashed anything other than that stupid used games policy microsoft is enforcing. DRM has no effect on me, nor the used games thing but people like to complain about stuff for the sake of making their preference look better. Xboxs exclusives looked much more fun and everything else is multiplatform. The Last Of Us looks 10 times better than anything announced for the XB1 Last of Us looks amazing. Im real pumped about these "mmofps" games coming out like The Division and Bunjies game. However, im not considering buying a PS3, so unless PS4 is backwards compatible which it isn't, I wont be able to play The Last of Us Cloud storage makes it backwards compatible. Isnt it in development and not going to be available till next year?
Your preference in game is just different but I think overall the ps4 had more variety. Xbox does have better FPS but that truely all it really has on ps4. Pretty sure most people will agree that ps4 wins rather easily.

Mirrors Edge 2 is not Xbox One exclusive.
|
Wow I really really want to play The Crew, Watch Dogs, GTA V, and maybe The Division. I didn't realize it was an MMO too, maybe not after seeing that it's an MMO as well though it still looks really cool. Nice :O
Yeah there was no way they were going to make that an XBox exclusive with how it performed originally versus the development costs, unless Microsoft paid them a massive amount of money to make it an exclusive.

The winners of E3:
PLAYSTATION 4
& The Division, Watch Dogs, Titanfall, Destiny, Plants vs Zombies, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 15, Project Spark, Mirror's Edge 2, Knack, Metal Gear Solid V, Star Wars Battlefront, The Witcher 3, The Elder Scrolls Online, and many more...
Honestly, there is nothing from the xbox one that wins me over now.
I haven't enjoyed Halo since Halo 3. No new Alan Wake. Destiny seems to be better on the PS4. Kingdom hearts 3 & Final Fantasy 15 :D Naughty Dog is a PlayStation company. SquareEnix is a PlayStation company. I'll have to see what the controller feels like. I hate the Kinect. I don't want any government agency spying on me. I like used games (big FUCKING deal for me). I like sharing games with my friends (again BIG DEAL). Cheaper PS4. Netflix is better on the PS4. Red Box coming to the PS4. Basically any Xbox exclusive will be on the PC. All my friends will switch to PS4. I can go on and on...

Privileged prick? WTF? By self-imposed I was referring to MS making that policy, which that have openly stated they may change moving forward.
You do have to play for mutliplayer and the prices are almost identical. It has been confirmed by TheVerge and Slasher tweeted similarly.
Exclusive content - thats all personal tastes and preferences. can't up or down vote that part...
Looks - I don't care what it looks like. It sits inside the entertainment center and does its job while being invisible.
Reliability - true. However, new consoles so those track records aren't necessarily valid.
I own both now and will buy both next-gen consoles. I just think they are more alike than not and given the amount of time between E3 and launch many of those differences may narrow (used games and price point).

Holy shit, The Division, Watch Dogs, GTA V, The Crew were what I was interested in, but KINGDOM HEARTS 3 AND BATTLEFRONT getting featured too? Hoooly shit looking them up on youtube now.
I'm not sure whether I'll get a console at all but definitely PS4 if I do get one >.<

Whew, gonna be a fun night watching all the game reveals and conferences since I was at work the whole day. E3 is still early and I look forward for more gameplay demo's.

Except that because of server authentication in 10-15 years your Xbone is useless and you can still play PS4 games. To some that's not a big deal, to others it's a huge deal. Considering it's something they purchased and if they want to play it 50 years from now and still own it they should be able to do so as long as it's still functioning.
This is a clear path divide in how the future of gaming will be shaped. On one hand you still have an ownership based console and on the other nothing but licenses that expire whenever MS decides the console is "done". They are both very different philosophies.

Apologies, I thought you were referring to the consumer and implying that it was really a non-issue.
Image is going to go a very long way. Even if many of the differences are minor, Sony destroyed Microsoft in terms of presentation, and by being significantly cheaper, being able to use used games, and not needing an internet connection, people are going to remember this stuff and it is going to make a difference, especially to the average consumer.

No sweat man. Presentation wise, yeah it was better though primarily I think that was because of in-game demos mostly. Another contrarian point is that probably most consumers of these consoles probably didn't watch E3 and will make their actual decisions closer to purchase/release. But I agree, the Sony presentation was much better.

Oh yea, most people don't know what E3 is. However, the mainstream video game press lives off of this stuff. They're going to be the ones remembering E3 and other things, and those random articles here or there that the average consumer reads when deciding "Which console will I buy?", as well as word-of-mouth (asking your "gamer" friend about consoles), will sway a lot of clueless consumers.

Well, if I ever have enough money to waste on a new console, my choice is now between the Wii U and the PS4. Guess it depends how each console looks like 2-3 years when I possibly have some money.

I haven't really used used either in a quite a long time, but I always thought XBL > PSN? At least in terms of playerbase? Can someone enlighten me on the state of both (preferably an unbiased opinion on just the online scene).

XBL is bigger right now so considered better. However, that can change in a heartbeat if people switch to PS4 over XBX1. So it's a non-issue IMO.
Both services are functional.
