CDPR also isn't alone in spreading PR bullshit in these meetings, a significant part of a manager's job is to create a good public image, so you'll commonly see managers dance around unpleasant questions and use a ton of euphemisms instead of addressing problems.
But that it's commonplace doesn't make it less of a waste of everyone's time.

If this teaches some people to not preorder, lesson well learned.
Also CDPR announces that fix is incoming and that refunds are fine with them. So get the refusal from either SONY or MS and then ask CDPR to refund and let them handle the account/game business.

Just found the Skippy weapon. Def using this throughout the rest of the game.

Force the no-refunds policy when they had nothing to do with the actual development of the game? It just runs on their consoles...
Why I agree they should allow refunds I also understand Sony's position in this. After all it's not their fault that the game is not working and if you pre-ordered it without knowing if it works or purchased it after news about it having serious issues came out you're the one who made the mistake.
What this situation (and what's happening to VTMB2 now) should teach us is that: a) pre-ordering is bad b) AAA game developers constantly release buggy shit and want you to pay premium for it
I guess I'll be sticking with more indie games from now on. I've bought a few this last year and was happy with them whereas big titles were rather disappointing.

There's some bullshit going on with crafting.
Example: I made an Ashura sniper rifle at around lvl 22. Initially there was no option to upgrade it - a level cap. I can upgrade it once every time I level up, with increased cost each time. Now, 10 levels later, I made the same kind of rifle, at a cost of 1 legendary component. I could only upgrade it once(level cap again - a different level cap), however, its current stats were very close to the one I originally had. Except the next upgrade is 6 times cheaper.
In other words, freshly crafted item parameters scale depending on your level at the time. Upgrading increases the parameters by one level, but the cost keeps growing. After but a few upgrades, it becomes much cheaper to just remake the weapon. It is pretty ridiculous.

The problem with refund is that the people played way more than for example the 2 hours that steam offers. I read multiple accounts of people having finished the game and then wanted to refund under the "game is unplayable" rule. If the game is really "unplayable" , refund should not be a problem on any plattform.

How is the game on PC? I'm considering buying it but if it's still super bugged I can wait till they fix stuff.

Your mileage will vary. For me, the bugs are small. I occasionally get graphical glitches but easily ignorable. It's crashed for me maybe two or three times in the last week max. I've yet to come across a bug that has a significant impact on my gameplay, where I've had to reload a quest or whatever.
That said, if you're not in rush to play, it might be worth waiting for a couple patches to come and fix/improve the game itself before buying.

I have the weirdest bug on XBox series X (so xbox one version but slightly better): when I drive my motocycle and then go back to walking, the char is super slow as well as the aim, and I can't even run anymore. It seems like opening up the menu 2 times (because the first time somehow tries to open it but fails) solve the issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

On PC there is a legion of small bugs that will either make you laugh or break your immersion. Nothing game-breaking like bugged main quests or any crashes for me so far, but yeah...
Anyone (kinda) stupid enough to spend money on cars yet? I used the debugger console and gave myself every car and I've found a few that actually control well, in comparison to the soap boxes on ice that you otherwise get access to... So far my favourite has to be the Quadra Type 66 "Javelina", looks cool and offroad (not very futuristic or slick) but controls actually decently, for a change. 73K cost in South-West part of the map.

I'm saving up to buy the Caliburn because it looks cool. How does it drive compared to the Javelina? I've also read good things about the Coyote.

Depends very much on you: - Yes it is still bugged and it will be for quite some time (I expect at leat until patch #2 in February hits). - Bugs are from annoying to laughable, nothing game breaking. Quicksaving from time to time is recommended - FPS and graphic problems in general are almost solved and probably will be with the next patch in a few days - You can get a loooot of mileage out of this if that is your thing. Huge world, something to see or find or kill around every second corner. Some amazing and funny side quests. Easy 100+ hours - You can also follow the main story and be done in 20 hours.

I'm at about 30 hours and I easily have another 100 worth of stuff to do, so much room for activities!

I can understand the way that most first reviews were positive about the story. The first time you play the game, it's a great experience. The story is great, and quests and objectives look as though they have multiple branching options.
But when you start prying underneath, or replay the game a second time, you start to recognise that it's actually a lot more linear than it appears. The biggest variety is whether you approach quests with stealth or hacking or with gunplay and with which guns. Beyond that the vast majority of quests have the same beginning and the same end. The only significant exception I've found so far is + Show Spoiler +when you get the bot from the Maelstroms where the quest genuinely has vastly different outcomes depending on how you approach it.
The main story is great so far, and I'm definitely getting my money's worth; it just doesn't live up to the RPG that many hoped for and CDPR promised.

You can get 2 different models of the Caliburn, 1 jet black and 1 White/Gold with red finishes, but they're pretty much the exact same car control-wise. Actually scratch that, the black one has better control and maybe 10 more KM/H at the very end. In a straight line, it's SUPER smooth going from 0 to 200 in record times. Pretty prone to spiraling out of control and just doing doughnuts on the road if you swerve too quickly at top speeds to overtake another vehicle or try to make a sharp turn. But there is a way to rear it in. Basically it has excellent acceleration AND deceleration, so before the bends and turns you gotta press S to brake and slow down, make the turn and then accelerate again, back to 200. You can do city races in this car just fine with a bit of control and finesse but do NOT try the races outside town/ in the desert. 1 little pebble will send you off to the moon in a constant front flip fashion.
White/Gold version is more prone to losing control even on soft bends, not to mention T-junctions or 180 turns.
Shion "Coyote" also has 2 version, 1 Blue, 1 Red. The Blue controls SUPERBLY. You won't be making tuns at 200 KM/H, but at 160KM/H? Yes! The recovery after swerving too hard is also top-notch, the ass-end doesn't fly to the sides like water in a barrel. Good traction for offroad races in the desert as well! After hitting a rock you can recover instead of letting Jesus take the wheel like in Caliburn's case. The Red version has slightly worse traction than the blue one, but still miles ahead of the other 95% of the cars you can get. Recovery is more difficult but still very doable. Takes T-junctions, intersections, 180-turns and bends just fine.
Shion MZ2 is slightly worse when compared to the Coyotes. It's much more of a city car than an all-terrain one, has got lower speeds, worse off-road capabilities, but in a city it takes T-bends, junctions and 180 turns very well. A bit prone to jiggling the ass on all of the turns, but recovery is very quick and possible.

Thanks for replies guys, I'll probably wait some more time before buying,

Thanks, I'll probably still go for the Caliburn for fun but I'll buy the Coyotes next.

I wonder if you can get the "scales to your level" mod if you disassemble skippy with the perk that lets you keep mods.

I just got an operating system called "Moore Tech Berserk mk2" which activates Berserk mode when holding E. Absolutely no clue where I got it from. It replaces the cyberdeck so you can't hack anymore when it's equipped, but gives some strong combat benefits.
