No because you replace everything on the get-go and crafting in very expensive perk point-wise and part-wise. Even though I am technically a crafter (12 points in tech) there's little point in doing so because you constantly get better shit from mobsters. Crafting seems like a self-imposed challenge, really. There's little to no benefit to it, except pride & accomplishment in using what *you* made yourself. Money you'll always struggle with. Even though you can farm side jobs and gigs and what-not and it does trickle in, you'll be spending hefty chonks at once. 50K+ per implant, 50K+ for a car, 80-100K+++ for a weapon (or just wait for a drop), sometimes if you don't have the skill points to talk your way out, the NPCs will make you pay for items, info or jobs (10-15K) etc. Salvaging weapons isn't really ideal either because either way you get sucker punched by the game. If you salvage you get very few parts and obviously no money, if you sell to a store, you get a pittance for them. Economy feels bad. Farm side jobs for a full day just to afford 1 implant. Craft something that requires hundreds of parts, just to have that very same weapon become obsolete in 2 levels or jobs later. The augments also can't be taken out of gear. You put on a scope? It stays attached forever. You put on +9 carry capacity? Stays on the pants or shirt, you can't reuse it again. Feels Very Bad Man ![]() edit: it's a small consolation prize that you can upgrade the items to have better stats and to kinda keep up with your growth, but imo not worth it, again. You can later on even upgrade quality (from blue to purple for example) but again, very expensive and there's no guarantee you won't find something as good or better on the next NPC you kill. I mean you're not wrong. You aren't doing it the most efficient/expoity way but the games economy does tilt incredibly tword just being able to upgrade one item at the best of times and using whatever new thing dropped the most recently. I can't imagine why you'd ever upgrade/upcraft anything other than an iconic weapon and even that can fall behind pretty easily. Mathematically its best to gobble up everything of gear and disassemble it for cash. The bizarre thing about pistols shotguns and rifles all having their own ammo pool but smgs assault rifles precision(or marksman rifles) and machine guns all using rifle ammo is something you'd think they'd have fixed at some point by just adding more ammo pools.

SHIT. https://www.pcgamesn.com/cyberpunk-2077/config-file-fix I checked out the numbers in my own config file, and it checks out! 1,536MB for PC users. BUT... i am hesitant to actually edit anything... I am scared. Anyone tech-sawwy willing to fact check the article and actually test it on their own machine? i edited mines and didn't notice a difference really, still running on medium and getting fps drops in gunfights. love the city, love playing it, feel really absorbed but the game, especially the driving/cop/enemy AI, feel incomplete. Like they spent 7 years detailing night city but only 2 in the gameplay itself

Actually got from 50-60 FPS now to easily 75-80. This is what the previously linked article does (CoolCPU and CoolGPU mixes) and throws in some additions. Read about it on nexusmods or github.

TLDR is that CDPR is acknowledging that the old consoles are in need of large performance optimizations, which sounds like it's the focus right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they had large amounts of refunds on old consoles and try to stem that bleeding. They likely won't release refund numbers though, so their sales numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt. Generally they seem to be happy with the feedback on pc and aren't explicitly planning gameplay overhauls. While I understand that performance especially on old gens is the focus right now, they seem to be fairly content with the game's reception outside of the bugs. The rest is imo PR bs and CDPR trying to point at the small favors they offer or trying to color things in a favorable light. "We couldn't have solved our problems by suddenly adding 200 employees". No ofc you can't add 200 employees in the last cycles of a 7 year project, but you could have added them early on where they had enough time to get introduced into the project and then pull their weight. Don't pretend you weren't understaffed after you delayed a project for multiple years and then still have major problems on release. Yeah they even say that they tried to fix it until the last minute. They noticed too late that the version isn't running to fix it, they should have delayed the launch on old consoles. Obviously their answer about no pressure from release dates is PR bs, everyone with 2 braincells knows that they wanted to launch before Christmas.
