Yes to the spoiler Velr. And farva, where is that RD? I wanna take off my auto disassemble lol.
Has anyone bought any cars? Do they handle better? I'm finding that different cars handle a lot better than most using a controller on PC. The subtle turning is what made the biggest difference. With keyboard only, there's no pressure sensitivity to keys. So once you mash forward, you're full speed and have to correct like a mofo. This is the one game where a controller, imo, is definitely needed for driving.
I also agree Velr that the passive skills are too slow. Most of the time you're running somewhere and yet you get little to no gains for it. My athletics should be maxed easy right now. Same with QH.

@Harrist + Show Spoiler +if i remember correctly i killed royce immediatly during the "bargaining" and then had a firefight in the room and after needed to sneak or shoot my wau out. I assume you get the option for the militech Dollars if you first talk to the informant/questgiver?
@Zerocool: I got a faster car from a, I assume very late sidemission. Handling is even worse because it is way faster . That Sidequest by far gave the coolest rewards in general even without the car. I do all this stuff now after having finnished, so its kinda hard for me to tell what opens up when exactly.
As it seems i missed 1-2 calls because the quest got overriden by some other call, most likely some Fixer or car AI. Only way i can explain to myself how I missed some of these. I didn't really keep track of my journal because its filled with boring stuff like the car AIs, Cyberpsychos and stuff like this, I plain didn't see some of the important/big ones because i somehow didn't immediatly react and later forgot.

Oof. I'm keeping track of my map and journal. Lot of the side gigs are buried beneath the optional stuff and it's kinda annoying to shift through it the way they have it now.
The thing that I'm looking forward to is reading all of the shards I picked up. The lore looks to be really fleshed and I can't wait to spend some time reading through those.
Edit: Just sold an EPIC weapon at the deposit. Got pennies for it. Looked to buy it back, was 10k. Fucking ridiculous. Going to see if the pawn shops offer better prices for selling stuff because that is stupid.

The ripperdoc that sells the respec item called "Tabula e-Rasa" for 100K is located here + Show Spoiler + I forget which of those 2 on screen sells it, but one of them definitely has it. That is Watson, Kabuki more or less.
Also remember that STREET CRED governs what stock the ripperdocs have. The higher your street cred, the better items they stock, so if they don't have Tabula e-Rasa, that means you'r cred is too low (or maybe inventory changed? I dunno)

I dunno) I'm pretty close to where you are on the street cred. Just haven't really had the coin to get the more expensive stuff. But as you lvl up and go through areas, you find some good stuff and a lot of loose cash lying around. Hacking terms also gets you a fair bit if you do it.
Just tried the damn pawn and still terrible prices on selling stuff to them. Guess I'll be making frequent trips to my apartment to store shit.

hacking builds kind of break the game once you + Show Spoiler +get a legendary ping that lets you hack through walls. i can clear entire areas without entering them from across the street. pretty silly!
selling weapons really doesnt give you decent money unless your picking up a lot of rares and epics and even then your only gonna get around 300-500 per gun. honestly the economy is pretty tight in this game and if you want high tier cyberware or weapons without crafting your gonna have a lot of sidequests to do. im at like 40 something street cred and i still havnt found the time to save for the 45k double jump. hopefully they tweak the prices a bit so people can feasibly buy some of the cooler tech in a regular playthrough.
also it seems like weapon crafting economy is a bit busted because epic item components are extremely rare? I found about 7-8 as loot and even after disassembling epics for most of the game i only had enough to craft a single epic weapon.

No idea how you are all so thight for money. Got 70k in the bank and I am lvl 12. Just hack in every "database" you find and go for the V3 datamine. If your hacking is decent, you can even go for V1/V2/V3 in one turn. No idea if that gives you more though. There are a lot of snack stations and gambling stations where you can hack this way besides the ones in side biz missions. You can spend some points in hacking to show these points on the map or you ping a camera and it shows you where to plug in.
|
yeah you need to hit a ton of side quests and stop crimes in progress to get big $$
|
I'm not strapped for cash. I'm spending it on stuff. But I also don't like the idea of buying augs and then having to grind it out to buy another hours later. Make the economy scale as you increase in lvl and it won't be so bad. I'm getting lvl 5 prices for epic/legendary gear at lvl 20+

1.2k isn't exactly much when you look at the prices for cyberware
|
everything i want to buy is 35k-110k from this point on. gonna take a loooooot of terminals haha

If you've got the weapons and skills, do a lot of the very hard missions and you should be able to make some money. If you don't have the auto disassemble perk, you might be able to find junk that sells for a bit too. I'm stockpiling perk points atm so when I do have enough coin, I'll get the respec immediately. Depending on how the rest of the mission goes (where I'm headed to next), I might end up spending some.
Turned on the FPS counter for Steam (using it to launch the game from GOG) and I'm hovering near 60FPS avg on max settings for what it's worth.

I've been selling all my guns because I haven't really felt like putting spec points into crafting. Are you guys saying I'm gonna struggle to afford gear at higher levels?

Is the respec item a 1 time sell or can you buy multiple?
|
I did also sell all my guns. Legendary and Epic ones give some cash, the others give so little... It probably doesn't matter much and upgrading/crafting is ridiculously expensive.
I found the respecc Item at a random Cyberdok, i assume there are several.
Btw: I just did some big sidequest. The enemies have dropped LVL 30 loot... I'm lvl 23. What the fuck?

Are you guys saying I'm gonna struggle to afford gear at higher levels? buying the good guns is going to take a good deal of grinding no matter what. the assault rifle im aiming for is 110k. Dont worry about keeping pace with enemies though, the drops will do just fine.
|
i wish they brought down the requirements for crafting. having to get to 20 to unlock legendary crafting means most players wont get to make use of the iconic weapons
|
Dont sell anything that isn't a rare or epic shotgun assault rifle or smart weapon. You want to disassemble all of these and sell the components.
You also want to buy every drink from a vending machine you find and also disassemble those for components. The blue crime events useusly give a lot of gear to scrap and can pay out really well no matter what difficulty.
Some of the gigs are really hard but also pay out really well.

Honest to god, yes and no. Yes you'll struggle, you can see my level and street cred on here, and legendary / iconic weapons are all 100K and more. No because you replace everything on the get-go and crafting in very expensive perk point-wise and part-wise. Even though I am technically a crafter (12 points in tech) there's little point in doing so because you constantly get better shit from mobsters. Crafting seems like a self-imposed challenge, really. There's little to no benefit to it, except pride & accomplishment in using what *you* made yourself.
Money you'll always struggle with. Even though you can farm side jobs and gigs and what-not and it does trickle in, you'll be spending hefty chonks at once. 50K+ per implant, 50K+ for a car, 80-100K+++ for a weapon (or just wait for a drop), sometimes if you don't have the skill points to talk your way out, the NPCs will make you pay for items, info or jobs (10-15K) etc.
Salvaging weapons isn't really ideal either because either way you get sucker punched by the game. If you salvage you get very few parts and obviously no money, if you sell to a store, you get a pittance for them.
Economy feels bad. Farm side jobs for a full day just to afford 1 implant. Craft something that requires hundreds of parts, just to have that very same weapon become obsolete in 2 levels or jobs later. The augments also can't be taken out of gear. You put on a scope? It stays attached forever. You put on +9 carry capacity? Stays on the pants or shirt, you can't reuse it again. Feels Very Bad Man
edit: it's a small consolation prize that you can upgrade the items to have better stats and to kinda keep up with your growth, but imo not worth it, again. You can later on even upgrade quality (from blue to purple for example) but again, very expensive and there's no guarantee you won't find something as good or better on the next NPC you kill.
