It's the little glosses that would take this game over the top. But I don't want a GTA clone in that aspect. For now, if they fix AI and tweak XP/money, I'd be satisfied (assuming all the bugs/glitches are taken care of in tandem). Finally made it to the outlands. Lvl 18 with 30 street cred. Should be a walk in the park. Mantis blades go brrr

The game is good but it's very obvious that some giant cuts have been made. I ended with 28 Streetcred at lvl 21. 20 stealth/8 reflexes/6 int/4 con or something like that. In the end i just shot everything with some tech-sniper rifle that I didn't have skills for but the poison from the Assassin tree just let it 2-3 shot any basic enemies. The last Boss felt super underwhelming, as did all boss fights, imho they are just a hectic mess of me running away/back paddling and just emptying clips until they fall over. Alltogether it was a really nice experience but there are some glaring issues: My Streetcred level felt allways way too low --> I could buy a staggering 2 cyberware augments over the course of the whole game and that was very close to the end. Monowire was also utterly useless, the DMG is just not there. Other negatives: Choices seem to plain not matter, if you even have any. 90% of the time you are 100% railroaded. This is not an RPG. The loot/gear system is just stupid. Balance seems out of whack, the first 1/4 of the game felt hard and after that it got easier and easier. With a stealth build you can even pinpoint when this happens: First when you get the 20/40% slower detection, second when you get the Poison stuff running. I'm told other builds are way more broken, especially Quickhacks. There seem to be parts of the story missing in the early game, the timeskip feels like a cop out. When it happened in the story i didn't mind, but the longer the game goes the clearer it seems that there was supposed to be stuff there. The open world stuff is just horrid. Will start another run on the highest difficulty and check out more side quests, hoping there is some real meat there.

I've been all over the ripperdocs and have gotten a pretty decent setup going on my cyberware. The prices are just insane for the little they pay you though, so legs and some other are still blank. I have both hand augs, eyes are upgraded, slots are upgraded and arms. I have a katana, mantis blades, tech rifle and power shotgun. They work especially well. I do the most basic of quickhacks (for the longest I was just holding the scan button and it took forever. On the second start I realized I could let the button go and it does what the name implies) and it serves me well enough. I try to stealth as much as I can but sometimes you gotta spray and pray lol. I think once I venture around the other districts and interact with other enemies, the game will feel more like a challenge. But as is, it is pretty straightforward.

![]() What i didn't do are any "world events" aside from 2-3 cyborg psychos that i accidentally ran into that gave me totally unbalanced weapons that i then proceeded to use for most of the game whiteout ever upgrading. Later on stealth is also so good, you barely need any shooting ever if you don't want to (and the few places the game forces you to). I just don't see why you would do a side quest after a certain point in the story, it seems kinda urgent to solve these. I also barely did any in Witcher 3 and it was an absolute non issue there. I'm not a big fan of open world games in general. Cyberpunk often reminded me of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and i played it pretty much like I did play that. Which is a good thing, i liked DS:HR. I'm now cruising around and do a few. Some have been good, some have been annoying. One could easily have been somewhere in the main story but most would be some of the last things any human that likes to live would do after a certain point in the story. Btw: Tried to restart on very hard... But its just too damn annoying to go thru all the dialogues again.

In 2077 the side quests are the thing that gives you money xp and pad the content a lot. and you can skip a lot of the dialogue pretty easy I just do it with pressing C and it does a nice time skip thing. A lot of the side content is good but really only in like small doses alongside the main story. I end up doing an hour or so between main quests to try out new weapons or get more money.

Hellerman heist or the parade quest yet. All in all, I think the game could use another 2-3 coats of polish before it's effectively a masterpiece. Again, it's playable for PC and next gen and I feel for the PS4 players that are having a lot of issues. But the game isn't nearly as terrible as some make it out to seem. Just isn't that crisp. But it'll get there. Edit: What seems to be happening to me, is that I get so engrossed in the game, that hours fly by. It's midnight and I only picked the game up at 9PM and it doesn't feel like I've been playing it that long. Even when I'm playing the bulk of daylight hours, it goes by so fast and I'm still not making progress through the story at a breakneck pace. I can dig that. Once online happens...damn. RIP in peace.

It just doesn't rub it into your face. There's no "Kill the bad guy" "Let the bad guy live" options that make clear you now have to make a story coice. Everything happens under the surface so you could argue that Cyberpunk is even more RPG than anything else.

I did quite a few side missions and finished most of the secondary storylines, it all just feels too short. The main storyline was top notch, with a few dips here and there (won't spoil), while the side quests were... eh. Very very few romance options and I feel like parts of the game were just scrapped, like the BD's you could buy sounded so cool but you can't even watch them. I feel like they cut a lot of content to make the deadline and these things will be released and doable in the expansions. Also, the driving in this game is just poor, the minimap is useless zoomed in like that at high speeds I never know when I have to turn. All in all I wasn't blown away like with the Witcher 3, but it is by far the best single player experience I have had since that game too. There were bugs, sure, but no crashes and nothing was too bad. I will wait for an expansion to come out in a few months, the game to get patched up and then I will play through it again to 100% it on very hard as a Ghost in the Shell-esque Intelligence/Cool cyberninja

Combat wise, i think it's okay. AI can be abused like crazy. Gunplay and roaming around in the world feels a lot like Division 2. Snipers are OP, Shotguns are OP, Melee is OP I had the most fun with Pistols and SMG's so far. Make it a bit more demanding. Also there are auto aim options for PC and it is On by default? Lol turn that shit of. I am mostly running around and do side biz, NC PD stuff and other random stuff. Hacking everything, looting everything, breaking down everthing, killing everyone. Pretty awesome. Story I just did + Show Spoiler + the Mealstrom stuff and Royce was actually hard to kill at highest difficulty And mind you, I'm already level 12 or something. Can't imagine doing this with level 4 or where you at when you follow only the story

People also compare it to Sleeping Dogs, Saints' Row, The Division, Yakuza etc. but I cannot really comment because I never played any of these. Game's main story is nice IMO, albeit very short for my taste. Also I feel more immersed in the world now than I did in The Witcher 3, and I love that game to death. Here you can really feel that the NPCs have lives of their own. They have their own backstories before you came into the picture, and their pasts haunt them. They have friends, acquaintances, enemies and scores to settle, and they're willing to use you or come to a mutually beneficial contract with you, but make no mistake; their lives will continue when you die/leave. You are just a small (new) fish in this big pond. Likewise, you see a lot of people die, and not only because you killed them, but because their past, their mistakes catch up to them... In TW3 you were >>THE MAN << and everything revolved around you, because Ciri, fate, prophecy blablabla. Here, you are only for a brief time, and you want to leave a mark so everyone will remember you once you're gone. It's humbling in a way to get reminded that you are just a piece of the puzzle, not the be-all end-all.

in what mission do you fight Royce? Is that the early mission where you are supposed to get the military drone from the cybergang? I think the main story missions adjust to your level. Anyone else feeling like the passive gains for stuff like stealth/knives/quickhacks and so on is really slow? The passive points you get are plenty but for example getting max level in stealth feels like an insurmountable grind. Btw: Is there a way to respecc?

Answer below + Show Spoiler + You don't have to fight Royce. There are about 5 different ways to go about this. Fighting way, kill all but sneak out. Fighting way, kill all, kill Royce Pay with own dollar Pay with Militech Dollar Sneak everything My way was to somehow steal the Militech money (oops) and then start a fight (no idea how that happened). Still had the option to sneak out but I really wanted that boss fight Respec is 100k and can be done by some Ripperdocs. Best google this I almost never drive anywhere. Walking (running) is so much more fun and before you know it, you have no idea what you wanted to do initally because you got sucked into something else.... again xD
