My ACRE is 1532 and I have 66/47 W/L. I'm starting to struggle with people who don't do completely retarded things like Dragon Dance when they've been swapped Choice Specs or Leech Seed+Giga Drain my Tentacruel with Mega Venusaur.

I have a lot of problems with Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard Y, Defensive Sylveon, Azumarill, Ninetales, and Rotom-W. I realize a lot of these are due to the fact that my team is mono-water and thus Solarbeam imba, but if anyone has any helpful suggestions to mitigate that, let me know. Especially, I'd like to know what to replace Spikes with on Greninja! It's a holdover from before I scarfed it.

For those who care, I'll detail some of my decision-making here. I scarf Greninja because otherwise it seems to lose to scarf Genesect, which I really can't handle U-Turning in my face for the whole match. My Slowking is defensively spec'd despite wearing specs, because typically I trick the specs onto a special wall to make them sad. If I get Leftovers onto Slowking I can actually sometimes stall out Ninetales/Mega Charizard Y if they have a status. Gorebyss is mainly for SmashPass (clearly). Swampert has Roar and not Superpower (which I had on it before) because it's my usual recipient of SmashPass. I'm thinking of switching something for Roar but I'm not sure what to use. Brick Break perhaps? I'm also not sure about Psyshock on Slowking... I rarely use it. Oftentimes Swampert is enough to deal with pink blobs and the like.

Anyways, thoughts?

Just to be clear you're running this team in monotype and not OU? Greninja can carry hasty/naive decently and take extrasensory to help deal with your venasaur problem.

It's too bad there aren't any water type pranksters, you could definitely use one. I'm surprised you didn't mention rotom-w as a problem, as your only safe switch is swampert and he can't take a burn. Pranksters like thunderus and sableye should be giving you tons of grief too, since you literally have no priority moves. Consider something like an assault vest azumarill or a barbaracle/feraligatr to give your team some priority (though without a lum they might still lose to sableye). I'm sure you've had to have considered m-gyrados too, which would also be a great choice with his awesome special bulk. As long as he isnt burned he can beat rotom-w and ninetails with ease, and may even beat charizard if you carry stone edge. I really suggest switching swampert and gorebyss out for m-gyrados and maybe use a lanturn as your new rotom check

Oh cool, thanks! I did actually mention Rotom-W in my list of most hated pokes (after Ninetails, but who cares) but thanks for the Lanturn advice. I was thinking I couldn't switch M-Gyarados for Swampert because I couldn't get rid of the Electric immunity, but if I get Volt Absorb Lanturn I could do it. I actually see comparatively little of Thundurus and Sableye. Generally I try to trick specs onto Sableye and Thundurus I think I've just lost to. Klefki is also annoying but generally I can get rid of it (eventually). I used to have Water Shuriken on Greninja, but without the EV/Nature investment it didn't really do enough damage to justify the slot. Anyways, great advice! Thanks.

Edit: I guess that M-Gyarados would also be great because I put in Gorebyss to allow myself at least one way to set up. With M-Gyarados I could Dragon Dance and not need the extra poke just for Shell Smash. :D

If you're having trouble with klefki switch out one of your slowpoke evos for a gastrodon. In addition to being a hard rotom-w counter he has access to stab earth power and eq and won't mind twave or swagger. Sadly, he doesn't have any way of breaking screens or he'd be exactly what you're looking for.

Does anyone know anything about ubers because I sure as hell don't l0l

I've only played 2 matches (against terribaddies) and already I'm seeing major problems in my team. I don't have a good answer to Power Herb Xerneas, if he switches into a dragon pulse/draco meteor I'm pretty sure I'm fucked because neither Mewtwo nor Xerneas will be able to revenge kill that thing, and Sableye can't possibly wall for a burn stall. What's a good counter to that crap?

hey there, im one of the better uber players (top 50ish on the ladder and 4-0 right now for the SPL farm league)

since xerneas is one of the most centralizing threats, many people carry 2 checks for her. Some of them consist of bronzong, scizor, and aegislash.

Personally I just have a klefki for emergency thunder wave and then deal with it accordingly.

spacial rend is pretty useless on arceus, i would recommend WoW or defog instead.

Dialga is only really useful for SR, so if you really want to use him i recommend using it as a lead to set up SR.

scarf on xerneas is probably not that great of a way to play her, a lot of wasted potential there. Id go with the geomancy or cleric/tank set.

latias doesn't really belong on any serious ubers team. I would recommend palkia as you have zero way of dealing with kyogre sweep
