Really it takes 2 minutes from clicking the game on steam, to being in a match, and enjoying yourself.

Afaik the community is pretty much split between "feinting is fine" and "feinting is completely imbalanced and needs to be heavily nerfed/removed" with Torn Banner looking for a middle ground. The common complaint from the second group is high skill duels turning into guessing games because feinting in combination with good animation manipulation makes reacting to feints properly impossible because there just isn't enough time to do so, the time between you seeing whats really happening and you getting hit being way shorter than human reaction time. Another problem is being able to block during your recovery time, you can start a second (combo) attack instead of being stuck in recovery time after the active frames of your swing, starting a new windup phase instead of recovery, then feint out of said second swing and block the incoming attack, eats heavily into your stamina so it might be fine balance wise but it looks really odd, people blocking when a millisecond before they were still following through in their swing and supposedly another 200-300ms of vulnerability to go before completing the motion and starting something new.

Especially because teamwork is so beneficial.. fighting in formation and stuff! Usually its just a big chaos with 50 people hacking at each other. On some good servers some tactics evolve, like gathering and overrunning with full force. its quite effective if you just need to kill the king or get some other objective done. And its so funny if 24+ screaming people come at you at the same time and you better get on a choke or a high ground or you just get trampled down. :D It would be so invincible if you would manage to form a shield wall or a pike square. With good dicipline you would crush all those guys that are only running amok. I would be really interested to see how it turns out if youre on ts and actually work together. Alone against multiple opponents you just have no chance most of the time. Especially if you dont have much space to dodge attacks or the high ground or a choke. They just stab at you so much, you cannot possibly block everything. And walking around is a bit buggy, you often times get stuck on something/someone. Its so awesome though if you manage to go on a killing spree and just cut people down left and right. But its really hard. Would be so awesome if they added horses. Would add some balance to those archer-infested servers.
