I've actually moved from Hearthstone to DoC (reverse heartlxp I guess). Arena is fun and all, but I suck at it and DoC beass constructed any day of the week. I still play Hearthstone a few times a week to knock out quests and play the odd Arena, last time I got up to 6 wins, so maybe I am getting better heh. But, I'm mainly DoC these days (other than the brief period when I would play both simultaneously.. that experiment didn't work out so well). | ||

i think with both DoC and HS, i was looking for the "magic" i had with MTG, but either both of these games are too shallow or i'm just getting old  heard good things about Hex, but if that's still no good then i give up | ||

So if it's getting something new and exciting that might be worth a try. There's no shortage of new CCG's coming out and they all seem to be trying to add new twists/mechanics to the genre like Faeria having land be both a resource and the board you physically play on, Infinity Wars having an alternate victory condition, ect. Hopefully you're not too old for games, I'm expecting my first kid, which is already making me feel old lol. | ||

heartlxp, if you're looking for that MTG feel, Hex will be as close as it gets I think. The overall gameplay seems close enough to MTG with some new stuff. It's apparently a mix of MMO/card games. Sure sounds fun and more complex than the latest cards games. It is true that HS and DoC both felt shallow if you compared them to MTG, but it's intended. The gaming market isn't what it used to be, most people don't like deep and complex games anymore. They want easy gameplay and instant gratification. I've also played SolForge and IMO, it's worst than both HS and DoC. The leveling up mechanics sounds interesting, but it's a really bad mechanics if you ask me. When you hit level 2 and are able to draw level 2 cards, you're never sure when you will have them and I think the cards will level up based on how many times you've played a certain card. It's a really weird mechanic that doesn't seem to be reliable at all. The game is still in beta and it doesn't have much in it, no drafting, no tournament, no campaign, no ranking, rewards are so easy to get (you can get them against the AI) and after there's no point in playing further. The gameplay felt more basic than HS and it's not really a good thing. And btw, Gratz Wuster! You're going to be a father soon :D | ||

Arena might be good for people who start from scratch but i already have few decent constructed decks which i would like to play but theres almost no reason because gold rewards in play mode are a huge joke. You said yourself the whole point is having fun and i have none in arena but theres basically no point in playing constructed right now except for getting masters3. | ||
