 There needs to be a way better way to self heal then there is atm I think. Looking for help to get a transfuse is asking to get attacked by bandits. You need to trust some random and tottally give away your location for any help. Eating food for 200 or 800 is just impractical. I understand it's super realistic but maybe put another item in or something that can give you a higher bonus like 1k hp but it takes 2 slots or something | ||

There's a mass grave of bodies in an open pit in the back. And there's the massive tower itself. Anyway, I made my way through all of that and got inside the tower, only to find that you can't get all the way to the top (even though it looks like you should be able to) and there was only one pile of empty cans inside. | ||

After actually looking up how to play I have been doing pretty well for myself. I was actually able to determine my spawn point; it was the warehouse overlooking the dock at Komarovo. I looted that after managing to aggro a pack, but I was able to bandage myself this time without too much damage. From there, I proceed down the coast to Balota. Wasn't really any good loot along the way though. I moved as close to that airstrip as I could without leaving the forest south of it, then crawled the rest of the way. I remember one of the newb guides saying that the airfields were PvP hotspots. Anyway, I crawled past it and circled around to enter the control tower. I caught someone with their pants down looting the packs there. I happened to be on a russian server at the time, so I didn't exactly want to try to communicate. I looted his body for an assault rifle (was either m16 or m4), an assault pack, and food/medicine. After that, I was a bit too nervous to continue on with my loot. Your stuff persists if you join a different server right? So I could meet up with TL players on some different server and still have my assault rifle and stuff? | ||

I attempted to sneak to the hospital by hugging the docks but I could see nothing and when I aggroed a few zombies I panicked and ran. I forgot docks fuck over the ai for zombies and ran away from them and then I saw a flare and survivors to my right in the town square but I didn't want to chance bandits so I ran from them too like a retard... Of course they ended up being freindly but I found that out later... So I ran around looking frantically for my friend but never found him and died. It also makes stealth and intelligence very vital components of the game as opposed to firepower. Frustration aside I think the healing is well implemented. | ||

I had just found an alice backpack, medical supplies and other handy stuff ( matches&knife, wood, binoculars,.. ) in the s/w of Berezino and was about to head to Dubrovka, and was at ~9k blood, so doing fairly well. Then I decided to head n/w, to check out the airfield. It was raining but I was >90 temp so I was fine. Then I spotted a stand and decided to check it out. I saw 3 zombies roaming the area, but decided that it would be easy enaugh to just walk in, check the stand and walk out again as they were pretty far apart. Well. Turned out there was a fourth Zombie behind a tree that I had missed, and its scream alarmed the others as well. Interestingly enaugh, their running patterns made one of them actually land a hit on me when I was trying to run and I instantly passed out. And watched them eat me. When I finally reached conciousness again I was at ~2k blood. I shot the 4 zombies and immediately used a bandage.. only to survive with ~150 blood and broken bones. I was able to fix my bones and ate 4 cans of food ( had 5 with me ) to get my blood level to almost 1k and realized that I went from doing pretty good to being pretty screwed. BUT as I'm a lucky fucker, just a few minutes after I had fixed the worst wounds, a pig crossed my way! Ha! Having the equipment to kill, cook and eat the pig ( 4 steaks! ) really helped me out a lot - 3.2k blood isn't so bad when you're <1k. so for the next few days I'll be trying to get a transfusion and hunt animals meanwhile. Because I can. | ||
