I should note that I'm probably not as computer savy as I should be. I just hope I'll be able to get this working soon, so that I didn't throw away that $15 I spent on it. It's been a nightmare downloading everything, such that I wish I hadn't done it in the first place. But it's too late for that now so I'm determined to make this work. This game looks great and I can't wait to get in.

Usually the server version is mentioned in the servers title/name. If you have 1.5.8.4 and you try to connect to a 1.5.8.3 server, you'll be able to join it but soon after the game will tell you that your version is different and will disconnect you so you gotta be careful which servers you can actually play on. I guess your game version is actually 1.5.8.4 and you tried to join a 1.5.8.3 server.

I had the perfect opportunity to blast all my rounds into him and steal his shit, but I didn't. It's amazing how easily he trusted me, so that was probably why I didn't. I would have felt terrible lol.

From what I understand you need both the game and the expansion for the mod, so you'll have to buy at least the expansion. Once D3 slows down for my gaming group I might have to buy a few copies of this myself... this game just looks and sounds like waaaay too much fun to pass up.

Also, this game seems to be extremely demanding hardware-wise despite being fairly old, which is interesting.

This most recent life I spawned with a bandit outfit from my previous self defense murders. My buddy told me about a personal cache he found consisting of five tents full of stuff. He had looted it and moved on so once I got to the location I logged onto his server and look at that it was there. Not only were there 5 tents, but there was a survivor managing inventory in one! Well, since I was a bandit already and he would most likely KOS me for being at his stash, I felt required to put 6 rounds of my AK74 into his body. Ended up with an AKM w/ 1extra mag, full navigational and survival gear, 4 blood packs, 2 cooked meat, loads of rare ammo, food and water and an alice pack. I still feel bad about it today, but the owner of the stash was surprisingly cool about it through the chat saying "thats just the way it is in this game." Thanks for not being mad for me murdering you and jacking your stuff!

edit: ok..I logged on again and ended up outside of Electra instead of at Gorka. I have all my stuff still, but why does this happen?

It was great; I got an 1911, food, drinks, knife, binoculars, chemlights, assorted ammo, and a flashligh. I headed up the road to Gorka and picked up a Lee-Enfield there before logging out outside the town. I'll try to meet up with TL people tomorrow if I get a chance to hop on. edit: ok..I logged on again and ended up outside of Electra instead of at Gorka. I have all my stuff still, but why does this happen? I died a slow, horrible and painful death awhile after. Broken legs without morphine and my character refusing to die, ended up getting a TL member killed as he tried to come save me. Actually ended up choosing to suicide instead of crawling my way to safety or having zombies tear my organs out lol. But I happened to hit the jackpot after I respawned and all geared up with alice pack and essentials now. The spawn glitch has been occuring frequently, as long as you didn't start in the middle of the ocean or something on those lines you're lucky.

The spawn glitch has been occuring frequently, as long as you didn't start in the middle of the ocean or something on those lines you're lucky. Yea that was me, lol. But it wasn't your fault anyway, it was cos I/it was lagging severely. If it wasn't lagging, I could have killed that single zombie with one shot and that would have been it, but I ended up dumping about 3 1911 clips into him and he just shrugged it off, which made me aggro the whole town. Either way, I got really lucky and spawned with all my stuff again. That was after I'd taken a break and cooled off a bit. ![]() During this free life, I decided to be a bit bold. I basically did a tour of the northern half of the map, starting from Berezino in the east and ending, just now, over at Vybor in the west. Highlights included Devil's Castle, The Airfield and taking revenge on the zombies in the town of Vybor, one of whom broke my legs yesterday, with my newly found M16A2. Revenge is apparently best served at long range and at head height. In other news, the M9SD is pretty much a get-out-of-jail-free card. Aggro a zombie, or there's one blocking your preferred route? Shoot him with your M9SD and no one is the wiser. edit- does anyone know if using STANAG SD ammo in an unsuppressed weapon makes it any quieter or not? I've heard that Zombies can't hear SD rounds, but I don't know if that's just with suppressed weapons.

Even with smoothing on 0 and equal X and Y sensitivities, it's apparent that the Y sensitivity is much, much lower than the X sensitivity. Is there any way to fix this? Also, this game seems to be extremely demanding hardware-wise despite being fairly old, which is interesting. Ok the problem you have here I think may be the aiming dead-zone. This enables you to move your gun around a certain distance before you move it far enough that your character actually turns. I would recommend having it on very low until you get used to it (its somewhere in the gameplay settings). However it might actually be something else but this is quite hard to get used to. maybe your mouse settings are too high and you need to lower them? This game doesn't need a high sensitivity at all. Picked up a M1911 Silenced and an AKM, heading up to Polana to check out the supermarket. Really reluctant to die since I have such great loot so I'm going to try to keep on kinda empty servers till I get on with you guys again. For those of you complaining about bugs/lag what the zombies actually do is have a really weird route they take to you, that's the only way for them to dodge. Seems to be engine issues. Anyway if I alert a zombie I generally feel safest running into a building and getting upstairs, that way no zombies can lag//bug up the stairs towards me since stairs are an automatic check for their speed. Also watch out for walls, stay at least 2 feet away from them inside buildings if you can. BTW if you sprint from a zombie it should never hit you.

edit - yea I know what you're saying about the pathing that zombies take, but that wasn't what I was talking about. I'm used to the zombie zig zag now and apparently it's because they are classed as 'civilians' in the arma engine, so they are programmed to run like that when they're alerted. No what I'm talking about is trading hits with a zombie standing right in front of me, dumping a clip into him, and then having him teleport about 10 meters away, only to run back to me and start hitting me again. This happened over and over again until every nearby zed was alerted. Definitely not just zombie pathing issues.

Also, the m1911 seems to be a 2 shot kill to zombies in the chest, though I've not had much chance to try it yet since I only have 1 magazine left ![]()
