because I can't fucking join any servers. I've gotten into a lot but only managed to play in like 3 or 4 and that was for like a minute or so. wat do finally after like 4 hours i'm stable edit 2: don't alt tab 3: fuck sake man, am I the only person having an absolute ridiculous time trying to connect to servers? My ping is fine | ||

Alt tab should work fine. Both my friends and I haven't had any problems with alt tabbing. I understand your frustrations with server issues because everyone is dealing with it. Remember though, this IS an alpha version of the game. It was meant nothing more than a tech demo and slightly playable mod that has exploded in popularity. If you can't be patient loading in to the server then good luck in the actual game. | ||

The reason for the server problems come almost exclusively from people disconnecting while "waiting for server browser". Alt tab should work fine. I actually play the game in windowed mode with the run-in-background flag enabled so that I can easily alt-tab out to check maps or whatever without potentially fucking everything up ;x | ||

Oh there's no way I'd ever have it out in or near a town. I keep it out to check large fields or to read sign etc., but when I'm near a town I pretty much always have my Revolver/Winchester out. When I started this game and before I learned about agro distance from weapons I pretty much exclusively used the Lee Einfield just because the ammo was/is so easy to come by. It's pretty much the equivalent of the CZ minus the scope. However, I like to refer to is as the "Lee-aggro-the-world-insta-death-Einfield" - -'. | ||

edit: Any know how to repair vehicles? On the left hand corner, all the icons are green. Doesn't that indicate everything is fine but apparently I can't seem to fuel the jeep with my jerry can. | ||

I had finally found a toolbox in the factory west of Solnichniy when someone aggroed all the zombies before I was able to leave and got me killed. Well, I'm off to a decent start in my new life. I was making my way back north from spawn Kamenka when I encountered another survivor. That is, I spotted him from a distance and followed him until he was through Pavlovo. I then shot him while he was in the open field...I thought I had heard automatic weapons fire in the distance, so I was hoping he would have a gun for me. It looked like he had just spawned and looted the town a bit though. Still, not bad, and he had a toolbox. ok nvm, the server reset and i didnt even get to keep the stuff i looted | ||

Oh, and never EVER EVER EVERRRR use a Flare anywhere near you are, or may be going. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but every time I've chucked a flare in a town or just in general to give vision zombies swarm out of seemingly nowhere. Flashlights and chemlights don't affect them from what I can tell. | ||
