![]() I reacted on instinct to the situation, which was to keep my distance from him until I knew the extent of what was happening. I only engaged once I knew there was a chance for both of us to survive (I had no idea what damage he had taken, only that he had taken at least enough to cry out in pain). As soon as I realized he had died and that there may have even been a chance to save him (still not sure about that), I felt a bit guilty and typed out my explanation in the side chat with an apology. Edit - oh ok. Didn't realize what the best place to DC was. I found this barn really easy to get in and out of safely (I'd circled back to it a few times, without killing or aggroing any of the zombies nearby), so maybe it's not that bad?

It's a real life zombie apocalypse :D Yea definitely. I mean, the atmosphere that's created even by simple little things like other players calling out for help in chat or over the voice comms (you can hear the fear in some people's voices) is quite unlike anything else I've experienced in a game. Now that I have a feel for the game and know that I can provide for myself on a basic level (there's still a ton of stuff that I don't know or have experience with), I'd love to start playing with some TLers. Are any of us grouped up on a particular server yet? Would be nice to dig-in and fortify a particular location and stamp the TL name on it, in the name of justice and esports and whatnot.

starting at about 36 min.. I'm scoping out Chern with night vision. I see flares and stuff, so I know someone is there. I've typed out in chat over 8-10 times so far saying "is anyone there?" even going as far to say that "anyone not responding = bandit." I eventually decide to make my way in and search this apartment building. At around 41 min or so, you can see a guy creeping towards me in the right corner of the screen... I obviously didn't see him until he was CLOSE.. I reacted by instantly gunning him down. By the way, the whole reason I came to chern was to look for tents... keep watching until I loot him for the happy ending! LOL edit: I'm not crazy incase you're wondering... I was talking to stream viewers :D

It's generally best to log off in the woods somewhere or a building that never has zombies. A friend of mine logged out in a barn, and when he logged back in (he claims) his gun fired for a few seconds automatically. He basically almost died, only barely got out because a friend and I were around to save him. EDIT: So seriously, don't log out in a populated area.

My first 5 or so minutes playing: Im being chased by a zombie, I keep running until I find a little shack I can get in and shoot zombie easier. Once I kill the zombie I hear shots nearby whych prompts me to go looking for other survivor. I see a dude being chased by 2 zombies so naturally I started to shoot and kill the zombies. Survivor then turns around and starts shooting me... wtf... So I had to kill him. While bleeding do death he types in chat "Why did you shoot me?" ...-_-

There will be people in this game who don't only shoot first to not get shot. There are people who will backstab you. There are people who will try to trick and snipe you. Having the mentality of shooting someone first in close quarters will save your life more often then that. Yes it's ruining someones day who could have been a valuable temporary ally, but you could also be back at the coast in ten seconds. Again, avoid people you don't know. If you really want to team up, don't be in a position of weakness until they've earned your trust. I've only ever shot one bandit, and only ever murdered one player. Been in a few firefights all at the coast Usually I'll be stealthy and simply avoid people if I can help it. Only time I've ever had to murder someone was at the airfield out of safety. No one at the airfield should ever be considered a friendly.
