- He can be slowed during his charge. (Most retarded thing in the game right now btw)
- His passive is pathetic. (+15% of physical protection in physical power)
- His damage output is physical and thus laughable.
- His ulti is useless lategame if people are smart enough to ignore you. (You can't cast spell in your giant form)
I'm sure I could add a few thing, I played him extensively, and unless you can get rolling early with some nice ganks, there is no way to be relevant unless you are a pussy and backdoor like a cockroach. And he is extraordinary squishy is you go down the dps path because he can be slowed and moves like a crippled toddler.
I was once 8-0 with him, half dps / half tank and I couldn't catch up with a 0-12 Bastet would have been jungling for 20 minutes (nearly unkillable hero) who could backdoor better than me and quicker than me. Vamana is a sub-par hero, even when fighting those he is supposed to kill easily (like Artemis, Bastet, WuKong ...)

Just played my first game (novice style) and here's my first impression:
I got to play as Kali (Was planning to play Ra since I had tried him once in solo practice, but someone else picked him first). It took a while until I understood my abilities and the flow of Smite compared to dota etc, so I died a bit too much early on, but made up for it later when I tried my hand at ganking, which was really fun, very different feeling compared to dota 2 or lol because of the perspective and map layout. We lost the game, but at least I got to get a bunch of kills etc.
Not to sure about Kali, from what I gather here, physical heroes are pretty shitty and Kali is physical... Hard to have any opinion on such things when I'm not even selecting items and skills myself. Seems to me like her ulti did too little damage and left you open to being killed immediately, then again, it probably does pretty good damage if your opponents clump up.
Overall, I felt like it has a lot of potential as a casual game, something to switch to when Dota 2 requires too much concentration.

I don't like Kali as much. The other physical dps have better escapes. I prefer Wu Kong.

Kali's movement speed is a escape on its own imo. its pretty darn impossible to catch a Kali.
On a side note:-
The 500 gold abilities are WORTH IT. I previously thought its like potion, use and its gone. Its actually skills on a cooldown! Ya im a noob that way.
I was in this game as Ra which went for 1hr, i had too much gold...so i bought the 2x Speed + 1x Immune to damage ability. Damn. My ra was flying around the place with its own passive and rotating the 2x speed abilities.
Guan Yu is REALLY OP on the enemy team. Lucky we had a Ymir who went for pure tank/support build and could take the heat.I cant believe i won the 1hr game as a Ymir/Wukong/Ra(me) team vs Guan Yu/Kali/Ra team. Ya 3v3 because 2 persons on each team DCed right at the start.

That's why I jumped straight to the 3rd key. Was thinking that people might try them in order, and like 30 mins had passed since this was posted. I think we got pretty lucky to end up with the keys, seeing as how long they were open for people to grab.

I'm in love with Ao Kuang (dragon dude), trying out Vamana; was thinking of getting the Frozen Mallet (LoL item, that slows on hit) like item for his ult. Wukong is insanely good, Guan Yu isn't as OP as people think, I LOVE YMIR everyone needs to try that frost giant :D.
I just can't wait for more Chinese deities, and to see how they can differentiate all the gods from each mythology.
