You can get to him, but its a pretty long walk from there. I assume youre using the undead burg bonfire (?). Basically you need to go past the dragon gaurding the bridge, then past the boar, then past some red cape dudes and go to a tower on the right, the blacksmith is down in there. edit* btw you can also go to the vinheim smith in new londo ruins, you can take an elevator under firelink shrine and he is very close to where you get off. | ||

It's actually not that far with shortcuts. There's a shortcut at the start and at the end of lower undead burg to get back to firelink. The one at the start takes you to the door in the room just past the first undead bonfire(past the firebomb bridge). The other shortcut, is after taking a right just before the boss fog, doubling back down the stairs, and then on the left is a door that leads up towards the moss merchant in that sewer just before undead burg. Both of these shortcuts take you very close to firelink and you can just dash past all the enemies. Once at firelink, you can take either elevator to reach a smith. Either take the lower elevator to rickert of vinheim at the start of new londo(follow the right edge of the area after getting off the elevator, he's hiding down some stairs in a cell facing the lake), or you can go to andre in the undead parish via the top elevator, which you just go straight after getting off that elevator and across the bridge and then down the stairs twice(just past the bonfire). | ||

I think it's a side effect of the fact that you can always be invaded in dark anor londo, even after killing gwyndolin(by darkmoons using the ring mostly). You will not escape punishment from your sins that easily, hehehe. | ||

Alright, I really want to get invaded, unfortunately this game makes it really difficult to PVP because of all the failed connections. Yesterday I stood around for half an hour while my white soapstone kept turning grey because someone was trying to invade me, didn't get invaded a single time though. | ||
