Gaping dragon is probably the easiest boss fight in the game but i think i cheesed him. Back off untill he does his charge attack, dodge then beat the shit out of him rinse and repeat. Also after gaping dragon, jumping off that river at the end doesnt work and is NOT the way to progress. Learnt that the hard way. Oh actually, moonlit butterfly is really easy. I didnt know i was walking into a boss fight and was completely blind-sighted with like 10 arrows, i still smashed that bug. | ||

There is a bonfire at the bottom of Blighttown. You don't have to go through the whole area each time you try Quelaag. | ||

No that isn't cheesing Gaping Dragon, that is how everyone fights him unless you have ranged stuff. Also when he slams down, hit his head because it does more damage, just get the hell out of the way when he does his charge. | ||

Zweihander and a lot of poise, I just smashed the heavy two-handed attack until I won. Learned about poise the hard way with the assassin squads and dogs before that. | ||

You need to download dsfix and mousefix apparently. Didn't do shit for me aside from fuck up my resolution but maybe you'll have better luck. | ||

Did you disable anti-aliasing and that-other-thing-which-name-eludes-me in the options menu? That's the mistake I made with dsfix, worked perfectly afterwards. | ||

You either win or lose in the first 5 seconds. You get like .3 seconds to decide if you need to roll left or right and if you choose the wrong one then you get pinned by dogs. | ||

Did the same thing with the seemingly infamous Four Kings, didn't even try them before clearing most of the other content so I could just tank them with Havel's while pumping out enough damage with Lightning Spear+Power Within to kill them one by one. Only boss I found really tough personally was S&O, had to summon an AI companion to beat that. | ||
