People thinking they are full-on remaking BG2 are full of crazy (despite how awesome that would be). The actual art from BG2 being used in the teaser plus the actual theme, and in the comments on the website's code talking about the Infinity Engine leads me to think this will be a port of the game to something and iOS seems to be where all the kids are buying stuff these days. most likely yeah. but let me dream.. just that one night...

Also i thought they already cleaned up the bhaalspawn series with ToB? I don't see how they can extend it... Unless we're like playing a god or something =O Fighting Cyric anyone? xD But yeah i don't have high expectations, RPGs nowadays are kinda crap relative to their old counterparts.

SPARE NO-ONE! So I kicked him in the head 'till he was dead, hahaha! Go for the eyes Boo, GO FOR THE EYES!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Yes, oh omnipresent authority figure? My old tavern's as clean as an Elven arse! Heya! It's me, [removed] So many great quotes from a couple of the best games ever made! (I preferred 1 by quite a large margin.) Several internets to anyone who can match the quotes to their characters. Yes, I am having a burst of nostalgia at the moment. :D

OH and Inb4 console action rpg with half the game released as dlc.

Maybe Black Talon Elite and some bandit-like NPCs in BG1 and BG2 as well.

Glad i'm not the only one who keeps this stuff floating around in my head after all these years! ^^ Here's to hoping that they don't butcher the series!

I think that having the Infinity engine as an open source port it wonderful news. It's a great game engine for isometric RPGs, and I wouldn't trust any developers to make something as good as BGII or PS:T. Of course hobbyists probably aren't up to the task of developing such high quality games, but I'm sure that it'd be a sincere effort as opposed to merely an attempt at earning easy money off of a popular name like which is totally something I'd expect out of Atari.
