Bioware is busy with SWTOR, Obsidian doesn't have the resources to maintain an MMO, and Bethesda would probably want to make the TES MMO before they start doing it for someone else's IP. Beyond those 3 you start getting to second-rate MMO developers that have no experience with a proper story-driven experience.

The actual art from BG2 being used in the teaser plus the actual theme, and in the comments on the website's code talking about the Infinity Engine leads me to think this will be a port of the game to something and iOS seems to be where all the kids are buying stuff these days.

The Baldurs Gate series remain a nostalgia and childhood favorite of all time game series for me. There is a reason Bioware do not make even close to the great games they once did, all the great developers and writers left Bioware to go elsewhere. Considering todays Bioware with straight up average and bad titles like Dragons Age 2 and Mass Effect 3, I most certainly do not want them to go ahead and make a third Baldurs Gate and ruin what is considered one of the best RPG series ever made. If its a port or whatever then thats alright.

Hell, I wouldn't mind if they use the same engine as BG2 and just focus on making the game fucklong. Either way, this is definitely something that will be on my radar. no pls no >.<

Black Isle did, which was Interplay's RPG division, they sold it to Atari after they closed Black Isle and laid everyone off. If it's a new title it would 99% be made by Obsidian (who are ex Black Isle)
