So I support the Packers now. At least I'll see some good quaterback action in their games.

I can't believe "Jets" and "playoffs" were even mentioned in the same sentence before the end of this game. Whole team is crap just not shitchez I hope alex smith doesn't go there, although atleast taking snaps wont be a problem with how low and close to the center smith gets.

Sanchez is far from a good qb, but is probalby someone who is more than adaquate to win games with a decent supporting cast. He proved this in his first two years. When your best receivers are all overrated clowns like Holmes, HIll, Edwards etc., you're fucked. He has no run support. The line has been shit for two years. Tannenbaum has no fucking clue what he is doing, and the funniest part is that Sanchez, Rex, etc are all gonna take the fall for him not putting talent on the team.

The skill positions are shit. If there is one thing the line is good at it is opening holes in the run game, and Greene is still shit at hitting anything. Holmes has been overrated for years and he's their big play guy. He's a good #2 nothing more, and he's an assclown to boot. Kerley does the same shit for a fraction of the price and without shitting on his teammates. Keller is average as a TE. There's no one else even worth mentioning offensively. Sanchez does a lot of retarded shit, but he also has to force a ton of plays because his crap skill guys outside of Kerley can't ever get separation. The dude checks down all day because of that, and they sorely miss LT for that because Greene is awful coming out of the backfield. If you look at Sanchez's 2nd and 3rd season, where he had more offensive support, he was much better. Still not good, but certainly decent enough for a young player at the helm of a good team. Now that the Jets are in the lower third in the league in terms of skill position talent, he looks horrid. Somehow, their play calling got worse after Schottenheimer left, which doesn't help. If they were to bring in a rookie next year, he'd be coming into a much worse environment than Sanchez came into. The Jets really need to bring in a good, large WR to flank either Holmes or Kerley, and they need an RB who can do more than half heartedly hit hte hole and fall forward for a few yards.

2010: 278 of 507 (54.8% completions) for 3291 yards (6.5 Y/A, 205 yds/g), 17 TD, 13 INT (3.4 TD%, 2.6 INT%), 75.3 Rating 2011: 308 of 543 (56.7% completions) for 3474 yards (6.4 Y/A, 217 yds/g), 26 TD, 18 INT (4.8 TD%, 3.3 INT%), 78.2 Rating For 2010: Completion % is 29th, Yards per attempt is 28th, Yards per completion 15th, Yards per game is 25th, TD% is 24th, Int% is 15th, Rating 27th. 15 is dead on average for qualifying QBs, so he's got 2 average stats and a lot of WELL below average stats for 2010. Actually, those are mean stats, he averages out worse because the higher rated QBs take more passes which inflates the stats and blah blah that's not a fair comparison. Onto 2011: Completion % is 28th(an improvement!), Yards per attempt is 28th, Yards per completion is 27th (a vicious drop), Yards per game 22nd (another small improvement), TD% 9th (his only solidly good rating in both years. a lot of this was their oddly good redzone offense last year and maybe some credit to Plax), Int% 25th(10 spot drop), Rating 23rd (modest improvement). In almost no conceivable way was he an average quarterback in either of those years. His ceiling so far is a fucking 78.2 rating (while not infallible, it gives a good enough picture if that's his best) in the year with the most grossly inflated QB stats ever. The last time his best rating would've met league average was 2000, the last time his rating so far this year would've met league average was 1978. That's how bad he is. I didn't do volume stat ranks because it's not really fair to starters who may have missed a game or two having their total yards or total tds or total ints incorrectly reflected, but I think I've made my case strongly enough: Mark Sanchez is a heaping pile of shit and the Jets should be desperate to replace him. I could try to dig up some advanced metrics like DVOA or PFF Rating but I'm pretty fuckin sure they'd say the same thing -- a really, really bad quarterback. He's never had truly elite talent around him, but it's not like he's Kevin Kolb who puts up solidly average stats with a really weak offense around him save 1 player. Edit: And do you know what's best of all? His Absolutely brutal salary setup. Fuckin lol, Jets FO.

Edit: And do you know what's best of all? His Absolutely brutal salary setup. Fuckin lol, Jets FO. I still remember that deadspin piece about him during his rookie year, where statistically he was Jamarcus Russell levels bad hahahaha. It was just romanticized because the team went to the AFC Championship. He definitely is far from elite, but I always felt htat he could be adaquate if given decent tools around him. I think those first two years should be a wash. Most people don't come go all RG3 on the league, even on good teams. If he had that level of talent around him in his 4th or 5th seasons, I think it is a differnet story. He would still amount to nothing better than an average qb. Can't even really say protect the ball I guess because accuracy was never his thing. I still think the dearth of talent at the skill positions is way more important, as is the deteroriating line. They need to supplement the two studs they have on there first. Even if they were to bring in a high level FA/trade qb now, I still think that person would have issues because of the lack of support on offense. The Jets really suck at moving the ball in any way.
