Yeah, the Niners are scrubs. Get out of here. That's some high level homing right there!
[EDIT: I am machine gunning the hell out of this thread right now.]
On December 17 2012 14:12 DannyJ wrote: SNF always seems to have the best games of the year.
That's because of the flex scheduling. They intentionally put the biggest match ups of the week on SNF in the second half of the season, so that everyone that doesn't have Sunday Ticket gets to see the biggest match up every week.

Minus the scrubs comment I agree. The Pats' worst enemy is always their confidence. I feel reasonably well betting that if SF ends up in the Superbowl vs the Pats, I'd feel pretty comfortable that they can pull out a win.

Harbaugh, if it ain't broken don't fix it. Go back to man coverage ffs. Let's see a 9 min drive 49ers!
That would be an understatement. This game is beyond crazy. Imagine the hysteria if this was the SuperBowl game.
49ers with a mobile QB why not a roll-out or playaction. don't get it. playaction run that is.
You know it's intense when a chip shot FG is nerve wrecking.
My last 4 posts. Care to explain what are you talking about?

The SF-NE game wasn't flexed into its slot for this SNF game though. The only game this season that has been flexed onto SNF will be next week's match between SF and SEA (in place of SD-NYJ).
NBC is lucky that all the SNF games have been decent this year, compared to say, ESPN and MNF.

I think my point still stands. The reason SNF is consistently so good, and has amazing match ups is because of flex scheduling. Four years ago (or whatever it's been) when it didn't exist, SNF was as big of a joke as MNF.

Why is there so many 49ers haters out there? LOL. Pats rec vs NFC west 1-3.

Probably because of such gems as
off-sides kick and nerve wrecking but really seeing as I have nothing personally to be mad with you about, I won't make fun of you for grammatically wrong comments.

It does stand, because the past few years have had a lot of flexed games. It depends on how long of a duration we're discussing, which DannyJ did not specify. Further, weeks 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, and 12 were not very good games. Week 10 wasn't very good either, but it was close/competitive, so maybe if one was a fan of really sloppy football, they would have found that entertaining. As a Bears fan, I feel I'm biased, and can't comment objectively. If it's up to me, being as objective as I could be, week 10 was not a good game (bad turnovers, sloppy offensive play over great defensive play, awful weather, etc). So that's 7 of 15 SNF games so far that weren't very good.

"Man, crazy is an understatement! This is WAY beyond crazy! Imagine the hysteria [of the media/fans after the game] if this was the Super Bowl match up instead... [since this is a potential preview of that game]"
A play action run is also known as a "QB-keeper," or a "read-option," except that there would likely not be an option, just the QB faking the hand off and running the ball. It'd probably be a PA HB Stretch, QB roll right keeper (except in really complex football play terminology).
Commenting on the intensity of the game is something pretty much everyone has done in this thread, and a FG to go up 10 points at the end of a game at the two minute warning is normally not all that intense, because the other team is typically not going to come back. In this case, the Patriots had sliced through the Niners defense for the last fifteen minutes, after an unreal 28 point come back. The make up of the game, and the unlikeliness of the comeback, made it seem even more likely that something unlikely would take place (a blocked or missed 28 yard field goal).
Does it all make sense now?

you are over-extrapolating and giving extra credit everywhere. Ok i understand that you're a Pats fan and you're letting your emotions get to you. Yea i understand how it feels. Every little thing seems to be very annoying. So to you everything i said must of been quite annoying to you. But to others (mutual sides and 49ers fans) it's nothing to them. But if you wanna get technical i can break it down for you. 1.)Playaction run. What i really meant was a bootleg play. If you don't know what that is look it up.
2.) Chip shot FG. Like i mention before i gamble on Football games a lot. I've lost a lot of money because some idiot FG kicker would miss a chip shot FG. The feeling is one of the worst. And if you've watched football games enough you would know nothing is guaranteed. Not even an extra point. A 22 yard (or whatever that chip shot fg at the end of the game ) FG attempt in the rain with one of the inconsistent fg kicker this year would be nerve wrecking. And like i said if you got money on that game you would be uncomfortable too.
It's obvious you're just nitpicking on my comments. This would be the end of it for me. If you want you can PM me. Not gonna turn this into a flame war. Period.

I said that it would have a much more complex name. I figured you wouldn't know what I was talking about since you didn't understand what he meant by play-action run. Even though that's not the correct terminology, it seems obvious that he was talking about a read-option play. I think you should lay off of whatever you're using so that you can read better next time you're in the thread.
