I also have some videos of the first 5v5's put together by Vhell. It's funny watching how unrefined the strategy and coordination was at the time. Definitely great memories. Vanilla WoW PvP was some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game. Otherguy, Saerdna, Vurtne, and Francis (who showed frost was viable when everyone was fire) immediately come to mind when I think about great vanilla PvP movies. Nurfed's 5v5 vids were unrefined compared what PvP would later become, but at the time they were the height of competitive PvP. Vhell's vids were excellent, so were Uro's.

They'd have a hard time making AV go back to that even if they wanted to though, even if they removed resources and put all tower/bunker elites back in again, just because people would still just run past everything and go for as quick of a win as possible. They'd have to do all of the above and give drek'thar/vanndar a buff that increases damage/health by 10%, and starts at like 1000 stacks, which decreases by one each time a player on the other team dies, or something like that. You underestimate the amount of NPCs the old AV used to have, just running past all the things did not work, you died. If there was anyone defending, you died even faster. One frost mage who rooted your raid between towers was sure to get a few kills out of it just because the archers and roaming NPCs were actually a genuine threat especially when upgraded. Running past the things started when they removed most of the NPCs and nerfed the rest to a point where you indeed could simply ignore them.

It got worse when they gave Warriors mace spec stun and all their retarded Crowd control BS. Paladins never died... original paladins with their divine shield / blessing of protection (when they were on separate cooldowns... holy shit >,<)

I don't miss old WoW. Rogues were OP as shit... before they normalized weapon speed damage. BARMAN Shanker anyone? Stunlock the shit out of people... cheap shot-> kidney shot -> blind -> restealth... repeat until you die. Back before there were pvp trinkets. I played Hunter (Rank13) and both Warrior (Rank11) and Rouge (Rank11) in Vanilla and have to disagree. Warrior > Rogue > Caster. Vanilla WoW was just not balanced for 1v1. WoW was never ultra-competetive, PvP can never be 100% fair. But WoW was so much fun back in the days. From Sorrow Hill to Tarren's Mill into Month of AV/WSG Farming. I even remember doing open PvP with my MS-Warri and my Holy-Pally infront of AQ. We "two-manned" complete 10-man AQ-Grps, Warrior with support (Blessing of Freedom/Dispell) was just unstoppable! I only played Random in the Vanilla-Bgs and I have no idea how many WSGs I won by myself with my hunter. If there was a somewhat good Drood or Pally in the WSG, we won already. In Vanilla you could show your Skill and Experience. If I would play now again, I would just get roflstomped by People with Heirlooms at Lowlevel and by Casuals who farmed 1000 BGs for their Epic-PvP-Gear with 32432423 Resilience. Vanilla and TBC was just the most fun I had ever in a Videogame and its so sad what the MMO Genre has become now.

Fear, Dot,dot, dot, dot. My team-mate priest was dead, but didn't matter when, cause the dots still ticked. More OP was only Season 4 after the CasualKing Patch with Ret-Pally being able to cast Wings+InvulShield at the same time. Together with a Whirlwind-Warrior it was just hilarious. :D All thats left are memories.

I actually get some pretty cool things to choose from as druid and it's not all cookie cutter. Love it! Yeah, I'm finding the talent decisions to actually require some thought.... and even checking wow websites don't give you a clear answer which is the best choice.

I carry a stack of Tomes of the Clear Mind on me for raiding because the talents I choose for each fight vary so differently sometimes. Glyphs, too.

The only thing I got from this sessions was that they removed Auras WTF?!?!?!?! Was it too hard for the casuals to use Auras or what? Thats exactly why WoW is so terrible, because Blizz removed all the fun stuff with no reason at all. User was temp banned for this post.
