Yeah because auras were sooooo much fun *rollseyes*
Four quests is what, clearing the temple? You barely tried it out. Thats like a guy getting into northrend and become bored after the quests where you kill the spider-things

I did something like 35 stealth runs over 2 weeks and never got the shanker to drop on my rogue. First run of BRD on my next character, drops.

Other news, arena started today. I think its actually the best first day of arena for an expansion ever. Which isnt saying much considering how bad the last ones all were, but its actually much better than I expected.
hahahahahah hahahahahaha hahahaha. How the hell is anyone that knows what he's talking about supposed to take you serious? Yeahhhh hunters have always been the easiest class to play. Regardless they're already nerfing BM burst, can't say I'd be surprised to see arms warrior right behind it. Other than everything seems pretty reasonable though.

I don't think that really matters to start next tier, because everyone should have quite a bit of H T14 gear so having double lock outs won't really help for world firsts. They should get most of the 10 mans since its going to be tuned easier tho, but who cares about 10 man.

Hey, is anyone interested in a new account up to Wrath of the lich King. Since the battle chest is on sale for $5 dollars I am probably going to buy one to RAF level a guy or two. Anyhow I won't need it after the thirty days are up

Quoting from MMO Champion:
Separate 10 and 25 Man Raid Lockout and Reward Changes in Korea Similar to the test of shorter raid lockouts for older content, Korea is testing separate raid lockouts for 10 and 25 man, as well as higher item level rewards in 25 man raids. The translation below was provided by PrairieChicken . Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker) We received several feedbacks regarding raid instance lockouts and 10/25 rewards, and we appreciate your opinions and deep interests. We thought that Korean players wish to enjoy the most hardcore contents more flexibly and according to their play styles. Therefore, from the upcoming patch we decided to change the raid instance lockout rules for all KR servers. Raids, as usual, will be reset every 7 days following maintainance checks. However, after 5.1 patch 10 man and 25 man raids will have seperate lockouts.
From now on, players could play raid instances, such as Mogu-Shan Vaults, in both 10 man and 25 man difficulty. Normal and Heroic difficulty raid of same instance will share same lockout as usual. Furthermore, the loots of 25 man raids has been buffed, and will offer higher iLV compared to same 10 man instance. For example, Terrace of the Endless Spring in 25 man difficulty will drop loots with iLV of 504, wile 10 man will drop 496.
We wish that players will further enjoy the contents and gain satisfactory rewards, and decided to offer the system that suits most well with the KR players.
Sat there speechless for several minutes. What the fuck is next, ranked ladder in sc2 only avalible for koreans because they like hardcore content more and blizzard wants to profile their players into categories of what blizzard thinks the players want with no input from themselves?
Lack of things to do because 10/25 lockouts were merged and casualization of the game were two of my biggest reasons for leaving since Classic-WOTLK (hello raid finder free epics) but this is just a fucking joke. Why is this option not avalible to everybody?
The way that they have said specifically that they are unlocking it for korean players but not for anybody else without so much as asking the community what they as a whole want, because blizzard as a company thinks that korean players and nobody else enjoy more "hardcore" playstyles is just disgusting.
Yes, im mad

I'm gonna have to agree with you on that one. EVERYONE should have separate lockouts. Not cool.
|
Officially they're testing it (China's also getting it so it's not Korea exclusive, though I did read a post saying they had seperate lockouts in Cata as well). Keep in mind it's a translation, so your take on it is probably a teensy overreaction.
It's a little weird though. I understand that Korea leans towards 10 man over 25 man and this could help change that dynamic more in favor of 25 mans, but if they want to move things in that direction that's a little different from what they were seemingly going for in recent years.

Its a money grab. Koreans pay by the hour. More time you "need" to spend with your guild raiding, more money for Blizzard.

If there is any possibility of profit being the motive behind such changes (specifically, selective ones for korea, giving them content that people in the rest of the world beg for, but have been told they cannot have) then things have gone seriously downhill since i left.

I've read a lot of upset comments from people not wanting this change to come to other countries because they didn't want to have to grind 10/25man content simultaneously again.

It should be a choice.
It was a good gameplay feature, i ran both with two seperate guilds, why not? it actuly gave me something to do.
What do you need the gear for when you can see all of the content in PUG mode on release week, Hell, does the second mode even need to drop gear? Just give loot once per boss per week. They have the technology.
Im not really insulted by the removal of this feature so much as the selective re-introduction in korea only. To have gameplay features disabled because the average person does not have the time to do them or want others to do them either while another group of players, deemed more "hardcore" by the game developers can enjoy themselves is wrong, and im sick of being profiled in those ways.

I dislike the notion of 10 man raids anyhow, and as a vanilla raider i feel 25 man should be the only viable raiding style while 10man was reduced to stuff like UBRS. They will never manage to balance the two different raidmodes to be compatible.

The reason they introduced this to koreans is because at the end of dragonsoul and with the new raids in pandaria. Koreans were pugging Heroic pve content, so while us europeans and americans suck ass all the random koreans can pug content that is usually reserved for guilds.
So the day we manage to dry out the content in similar fashion to koreans is the day blizzard reverts the lockouts for our realms.
Lets be honest though. Do you really want to run the same instance thrice? 10 man, 25 man and LFR?

Some bosses are harder in 10 while some are harder in 25, it's fine

Easily one of the most hilarious moments I've witnessed on MoP so far. Happened on twitch just tonight. The holy pal had been struggling for like 20 minutes with his glyphs/talents/macros because his partners wanted him to spec holy dps just for the hell of it. Don't skip the prep room phase or you're gonna miss out on the fun. :p
