It should be exciting for a lot of these teams to be in the hunt for Lord Stanley's Cup still, history to be made and repeated for teams.

Gonna be alot of OT played in the west I think. It's 5 hot goalies spread between 4 teams. Expecting alot of 1 goal games. Wash/NYR will probably play a bunch of OT games too.

Depends on what the board of Governors decide, Toronoto and Buffalo will vote no on a team moving to Markham and will most likely swing the other Governors to vote no as well.

This Arena in earlier articles was built to mostly host live shows and events, getting a sports team would be a bonus, but not the priority for them(guess that changed).

Well, considering they took a much better team to a game 7 it' might not be a choke. The 3rd/4th line guys did pretty well, and the defense was pretty good. They controlled the play for good stretches of the game and got some great chances at Lundqvist. Sometimes a goalie wins a game, and King Henrik clearly helped the Rangers a lot. Considering the inexperience of a lot of the Sens forwards, this was a pretty good showing.

That's really old news and it has been discussed to death. Considering Bell and Rogers are stepping in for the Teacher's Pension plan and the biggest concern was television rights I really don't know. Before they sold that stock it still wouldn't happen. MLSE don't want anyone on their territory and they want a complete stranglehold.

We'll really have to wait and see what transpires, but they've been discussing that building for ages now.

I figured it would go to 7 considering Ottawa owned them like they used to own the Leafs at the turn of the century when it came to the regular season and just like the TML the Rangers found a way to beat them in 7 to make them 0-5 in game 7's.

Good experience for the Sens and they shouldn't be disappointed with the way they played. They did very well this season, but if Alfie retires. Those points will have to come from somewhere. I think he might stick around for another season before calling it quits. They have a pretty good hockey club over there right now.

Yeah there is no way that was a choke. A team that was probably picked to finish near the basement took the 1 seed to 7.

no, the news is current. the 11-2 vote occurred a few days ago.
the Bauer financial guy has just started explaining how he plans to compete with the Air Canada Centre.
i can apply "we'll really have to wait and see" for every question ever asked.

the atlanta move was clean, but the next move might be an al davis style rogue move and if it is that owner now has a couple of options.

The vote may be current but all the news radio stations and Markham the city itself has been talking about building and financing the building for a lot longer man. I keep hearing the FAN 590 bringing it up on all their talk shows.

This doesn't mean they are getting an NHL team.

I agree. Terrible end to a hockey game that could have easily ended the opposite way if not for Quick. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit angry at the boarding penalty on Pietrangelo. If he's concussed, it will be a tough loss. Time to regroup and take the next game. Similar to the first round, we really can't go into LA down 0-2 and expect more than a 3-1 LA lead. They are just too good.

Lets see if the Bluenotes can come back with fire and take game 2. LGB.
