I don't get it. What was so bad about finding a harvest every 3-4 maps and click 3-4 "reforge with more fire" or "change socket colour"? | ||

The one thing that annoys me about PoE is the fucking community that allways just screams more, more, more! Reddit is basically useless atm. | ||

Affix pools are so massive that it needs more targeted crafting that is accessible to the general player base. There is nothing wrong with having a decent chance at finding a chest with good life and some resists. Or a weapon with the correct elemental modifiers for your build. | ||

I read through some forum posts today and the disconnect is embarrassing. They accuse GGG of being disconnected and dilusional while most of their "solutions" are completely braindead (streamers are not better in this regard imho), they seem to think every change they don't agree with is equally bad as war crimes and they think they are in the majority just because the loud ones are on the forums... I mean, every patch I have some disagreements as well. I do have some issues with Archnemesis for example. Let them start their cast, move to the side, hit them. Today you just blow them away with a whole screen of other random monsters. Ok, enough of being angry. I'm personally not sure if I will continue this league. Not because of any of the changes but I don't feel that motivated to play atm. It's the opposite to last league, which I thought I would skip but ended up playing for the entire 3 months. This time I was motivated and spend quite some time in PoB but now I would rather spend some more time in PoB... I started with a Holy Relic Guardian and made it to white maps now. Damage and tankiness seem fine but it's clunky. Static strike wind up takes forever and often misses, even with ancestral call + faster attacks. The minions always stay super close and it feels super bad if they die. | ||

If you want to stop players from 1 shotting you also need to rebalance the monsters, their damage and effects. not their hp (aside from dumb rares) And GGG regularly does the former, without doing the latter. Plus you can't tell me wailing on a rare for 10 minutes because it got a dumb combination of buffs is 'fun'. | ||

I also think a lot of moster damage is fine, if it is avoidable. Imho they actually need to tone done monster density not monster damage for the most part. For some monsters the damage specifically needs adjustment though but I don't think the raw numbers per monster are the main reason people feel like monsters do too much damage. For good measurement, put Rampage on your map device and see how fast you reach 1000 monsters killed. It's pretty insane comparatively when it used to be like 300 per map. Fighting a rare for 10 minutes feels bad. Just as bad as fighting Shaper for 10 minutes. At least to me. Imho the HP gap between rares and white should be smaller. Maybe like 10-20 times instead of 100-1000 times. As I said, I have some issues with Archnemesis and huge HP pools is one of them. I think they at least did well with making them rewarding now though. Another issue is the ground effects. Especially on death. I hate if I have killed everything and have to wait another 5-10 seconds for the ground effects to disappear until I can interact with a league mechanic or whatever. | ||

Most builds actually had to play them (until a very easy to reach gear treshhold) and Mapbosses normally don't have any one shot abilities that you can't easily dodge. Reddit was on fire. Super tanky rares are dumb, no issue there. But i take the occasional ridiculous rare over the explode the whole screen as soon as you touch the first enemy and instaphase (or kill) mapbosses all the time. I played Cold-BV-Pathfinder-Fotm thing in Ritual, it was totally bonkers and no character should EVER reach that sort of clearspeed (and facetanking sirius beams just for shits and giggles). I was decently geared but far from truely rich (<100 exalts). I actually like how Act 1 and 2 play now (if you don't use one of the more broken starter skills). Sure the game should get a bit faster later, but thats mainly because it feels sluggish due to low movement/attack/castspeed, not because the general killspeed/progress feels truely slow. Gauntled (iirc during ritual too?) was probably the most fun i had in a long time, you actually had to play your char and even there the problem showed up more and more the farther in the game you got. I normally don't play hc so it was a basic ed/contagion Trickster (made it to iirc lvl 76/maps, I didn't die but had to stop for a few days and then it was over. I agree that the main problem is probably too many monsters. As long as that amount of monsters do any kind of damage, freak oneshots are bound to happen. | ||

This was a company that had gained a lot of good will from its community through its communication. Transparency had papered up a lot of issues people were having and kept others defending them long after they had to. Now all that is up in smoke. | ||
