![]() In theory the next large content patch should be the last big patch before open beta. Maybe they cut it in two and let the PvP-patch get some further feedback and balancing before opening the show, but they are getting there pretty fast with the agressive patching they are doing at the moment. Also: For all of us using 32 bit windows, the patch 0.9.11m was a significant improvement. The patch improved responsiveness of the mouse while holding down a button and made a change to how textures were treated. It has helped my computer a ton in avoiding toasting (someone measured a 6 degree drop in temperature over GPU and my improvement has been even more after cleaning my fan!), the load has improved noticeably between areas and the game is more responsive! It should also fix some crashes, but I never had those anyway.

Act 3 and PvP will come out this year so have patience and have mercy! ![]() It is just disappointing that it was slated for August and now my open beta email for this weekend said "in a few months."

This is an issue that is mentioned a lot of times, which is inderstandable ![]() You have to remember some things though: - At medium-high levels your attack, cast and movement speed are a lot higher, which makes it feel more smooth, try to watch some high level footage on youtube for example to see the difference. - GGG has said that they will add custom animations in their cosmetic cash shop, since this is a free to play game without pay to win they will have to monetize a lot of extra fluff. Every type of attack has only 1 animation, which can easily become monotonous. People often complain about the bland look of items too, which comes down to the same issue. - GGG is gradually refining the combat, it looks a LOT better than early alpha, and even a lot better than a couple of months ago. As long as they get a steady income, they will keep refining the game for years. - It might never feel as polished as Diablo 3, a New-Zealand based indy studio vs the mighty Activision Blizzard consequence that is hard to overcome. Path of Exile currently has no physics engine for example, but they might add that in a future update. However, I sort of like the raw feel of the combat and especially Heavy Strike with a big two-handed weapon gives you a nice blut force trauma effect ![]() When the game gets to Open Beta, maybe you could give it another try, at that stage GGG is ready to show the game to the big audience.

![]() Anyway, it's nice to see some developers actually try to make fun games. Playing Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 and all that crap has bored me close to death. This might just revive me!

I often opt to not use 2H in ARPG's even if it would be statistically better for me as I hate being so sluggish.

This really seems like the real Diablo 3 and it is one of a few games that are not dumbed down so braindead cry kids can play it. I've watched a few developer interviews and the approach they are at is the right one to get the game we all (ARPG fans) expect. I just hope they won't ease up under the crying kid's pressure and the game stays on decent difficulty even when playing normal. My hat is down to the devs as they are doing great job with such a small resource.
