By the way some of the red maps look really quite good for sextanting, and there's definitely profit to be made, in large amounts.

I have a ngamahus slayer, a wind ripper raider and ele claw molten strike inquisitor all fairly well geared. I think I want to get the inquisitor to the point of being able to farm shaper quickly, though I don't know if there would even be profit there. My mfer right now is very squishy because my ventors are shit, so I can't run mf gear in red maps on it. That MS Inquisitor is using those instant leech claws? How well does that character play?

And yeah having a life on hit claw and the leech claw nodes has been enough to face tank most things so far. I went the vp version of thr tree but havent botheted to get vp because i havent felt like ive needed it yet. bear in min the character is only lvl 82 still. I haven't tried guardians on it yet but was able to do t13 and 14 maps pretty easily. https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/disturbed_999/characters If it's not set to the right character the name is huntsnopants. The build gets a decent amount of free resists from the tree which makes gearing a lot easier and the damage seems really good. Only thing is that good ele claws are quite expensive but I guess every build that doesn't use a unique weapon faces that. I got lucky and as soon as I got to mapping bought a 160 edps claw with attack speed crit multi and room to craft crit chance for 5c, I haven't been able to find anything that would be an upgrade to it for under 5+ ex, the attack speed and crit chance arent very high but crit multi makes it beat out much better claws when it comes to the actual damage. Sorry for bad formatting and typos, posting from phone. OK, I have checked that character. I find multiple things strange (not wrong). #1 How often you do you get Onslaught from that Herald of Ice? Does that Orb of Storms + PCoC give you PCs often enough? #2 You seem to not put a lot of passives into Life. What is your life total? Around 5000? 5500? Also no real defense except Acrobatics. Evasion on your gear is not good and your block is halved because of Acrobatics. I guess you depend on that Enfeeble to keep you safe. That might be a mistake when running hexproof maps or find groups of magic enemies with hexproof. Also tough bosses are highly resistant to curses. #3 Do you need Multistrike and Ancestral Call for mapping? I feel it slows down mapping due to needing to stand in place for too long. Ancestral only for me clears maps super fast. And then I switch it with Multistrike for some boss fights. Do you get random deaths (like from casters that don't need to pass accuracy checks)? EDIT: I am pretty jealous of your amulet and rings :D Here is my Molten Strike character for comparison: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Torin/characters

I'm at 5500 life, I mostly was getting the DPS and jewel nodes first, I'm going to get more hp nodes. Basically for maps enfeeble life leech and the claw life gain have been enough, as well as stibnite flask and the acrobatics and bit of evasion and armor. I haven't really done any hard bosses yet other than t13/14 maps. But those and uber lab izaro haven't really been much trouble and have died before I ran out of flask charges. Multistrike works better with this build than it would for yours for mapping because of the attack speed. You generally want as much attack speed snd crit on your claw as you can, so you will be attacking very fast. In maps I just shield charge in attack and keep going, with Multistrike i really don't stand there long at all. I imagine it would be more of am inconvenience with a slower weapon. Also for bosses you can swapply ancestral call for damage on full life, or run 3r3b with ele focus instead of wed and swap wed for ancestral call for bosses, or keep ancestral call and stay just out of melee range of the boss and attack the ground which makes ancestral call deal extra damage. I haven't really gotten the positioning down yet. I haven't died much outside of some map bosses or breaches but I probably have died a few times charging into ranged mob, I don't remember honestly. I do remember I got abaxoth in a red map and died to him a few times and had to get on my ngamahus slayer to kill him. If you want there's a guide for this build that probably explains it better, I used it as the basis for making the character. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1971701

I mean I've never really sold anything for more than like 20c.. unless I was reselling something I had bought for myself previously. 40-50c was kind of what I expected. It was just nice to see multiple T1-2 rolls for once lol. On January 02 2018 08:52 bo1b wrote: Also, do yourself a favour and get a quad stash tab or two. Alch up like 20 maps at a time, run them, and dump everything you loot into those tabs, clear them out when you need currency to do more maps. Eventually you'll have enough chaos sitting in your stash to not have to clear them out more then once a day. Meant to ask this yesterday and forgot, but when you say dump everything into quad stashes, I assume you mean for the chaos vendor recipe. Do you ID items for the chance at selling stuff? Or do you keep everything unid and just do the 2c recipe? I tried both last league but wasn't sure which was better over time, didn't keep close enough track of how much I was making each way. Haven't been looting as many rares this league, just some jewelry and at the end of a map if I still have plenty of inv space. Also, @anyone, what makes uber lab farming most profitable near the beginning of a league? It seems like that's a popular route to take and now that I've familiarized myself more with the Atlas this league I would be curious to try doing lots of labs instead next league perhaps. Just to mix it up.

Oh I assumed that's what you meant when you said dump it in a stash and sell it for currency in a pinch lol. It's interesting hearing strats from someone that clearly knows how to make cash. I've not done an mf char with all the quant pieces and such. Though the Bisco belts and Ventor's div cards are selling like crazy this league.

I'm in Act 5 right now, and I'm pretty sure my character is going to run into some major problems in Act 6, so I'm going to be dumping this character pretty soon. What skill gems and items would you guys would suggest I try and find, and are they any good places to find these items before starting over? I have a Goldrim and Tabula Rasa, but that's about it. How are you running into problems during the Act part when you have a Tabula, and therefor a 6 link when this part is balanced around a 4 max. If your dying to much then prioritize resists on gear, then life and focus on life nodes in your passive tree. If its damage then check around for what sort of support gems you should run with your main skill.

They're all less time consuming than chaos recipe, but still not close to being worth it if you're doing any good farming.Really? Is it just not worth the time or do you just not like doing it? I've never really been overly rich but I've always kept doing thr chaos recipe even when I'm at the point where my character is worth 40+ ex. You get a lot of Alts from vendoring rings/amulets/belts already, and with Alts around 12:1, it's close to chaos recipe, except no hassle or picking up large items. There are a lot of small things you can do to generate more currency. I usually sell chroms/jewelers/etc. for alchs/chisels/scours early when ratios are insane. Live search a couple items I'm gonna need. It's all more profitable than recipes, and not nearly as tedious.

I don't do the Chaos or Chisel recipes. Even if they were time efficient, which I don't believe at all, they would still be way too tedious.
