because otherwise it's like "1/2 the zombies at double the damage = no damage increase lul" same idea for HP plus it works terribly with necromancer flat physical mitigation per zombie notable | ||

swarms of mobs surrounding you and raping your ears just because isn't a very interesting mechanic. Keeping breaches open was annoying. Splinters were nitpicky to pick up. The only upside was billions of mobs... which just isn't an interesting league mechanic. Some of the uniques were really cool i guess but not only does that not make a league, the interesting ones were also unreasonably gated behind chayula which you had to play an absurd amount to ever experience. I still enjoyed playing path of exile, but as a league mechanic it was pretty stupid imo. | ||

I stopped picking up the splinters half way through the league because they became worth less than alts basically, so that annoyance was out of the way. happening upon chayula or uul-netol breaches were pretty fun, randomly getting a more difficult / rewarding encounter. I managed to find 2 skin of the loyals from chayula breaches, sold the IDs for 2exa each. there were also plenty of interesting uniques from the lords besides chayula.... xoph amulet, choir of storm, HoWA??? were all accessible to everyone and very very powerful most fun league for me ever, though domination was prty close. I do agree tho that it could be an eye and ear sore. they need to tone back the purple crap | ||
