Well, it sucked to lose a stupid amount of wealth on standard, but mostly I was already so tired of bashing through the same 4 acts 3 times per character and then running into a wall because of lousy map drops. I wasn't about to do that again especially since I had no more twinking gear or currency. I guess I'm kinda bummed I won't have any unique/ T4 talismans to play around with but it's whatever because I don't play standard lol. | ||

The sad thing is poison is kinda dead for 'fair' poison builds (maybe) while the really abusive stuff held up to the nerfs much better. Which is fine by me since I didn't do poison last league and am planning some abusive junk for this one! | ||

Another reason Firestorm is awful is that I have to take increase duration nodes, which in turn make Lightning warp horrendous :|. And the other movement skill for staff caster is Flamedash .... And nothing to indicate monsters got harder to balance out the monstrous power of Ascendancy classes. The power creep is real. | ||

And to develop on that, it's not a matter of numbers, but of mechanics. EK in itself just doesn't hit enough targets, and any support you use to cover more AoE is a support that could be used for damage with Bladefall. It's like, not even close... | ||

 If you guys say it like this, I probably should go with Bladefall right away, especially because I don't know it yet (unlike EK). I think its damage didn't get nerfed much (unless using added chaos or similar stuff), and from what I see the AoE of it seems to be huge too, so Witch nodes alone are probably enough. Just won't be able to reach 95% crit with it unless I also use the Increased Critical Strikes gem or have like 250% crit on gear.My thought was that EK probably is pretty sick AoE too with up to 80% proj speed from wands, 30% from tree and perhaps also the support gem. And 95% crit here is easy to reach without (much) gear when going Assassin. | ||
