All that being said as a live game it is an incredibly good gambling game as the point system is easy to adapt to wagering, and since it is a two player game it's a good backup when you don't have enough for a poker game.

Below I'll list what we did for games that were playable online and I'll give a few other games that I personally enjoyed. This list isn't exhaustive of the ones I've played or know. Euchre Spades Oh Hell!- pretty fun game where you try to predict the exact number of tricks that you can take in a hand. Side note: If you are looking for a crazy game that is a ton of fun based on this concept, find the card game Rage. Essentially it's the same as Oh Hell! except there are cards that literally change the trump suit, cards that eliminate trump, cards that reward bonus points, cards that deduct points, etc.. Tons of fun with a number of people! In each hand you also reduce the number of cards you play with. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rage_(card_game) for more info. 3-5-8 Texas Hold'Em Hearts Agurk(Cucumber) - Awesome card game that doesn't take much time. http://www.pagat.com/last/agurk.html. Used to be able to play this on playok.com, but they sadly got rid of it. Barbu - Want a game that involves a ton of different games in one? Try this one. http://www.pagat.com/compendium/barbu.html. Gin Rummy Rummy 500 Cribbage - Truly a classic game. I remember playing this in elementary school all the time! Whist - Bridge without the bidding. Minnesota Whist - Slightly more complicated than Whist. http://www.pagat.com/whist/minwhist.html Bid Whist/52 Card Bid Whist - Slightly more complex than Minnesota Whist. If you can play those three games, you've got a good head start at getting good at Bridge. Pinochle Invented Game To Try: 1. Concerto - A really easy to pick up partnership game that just involves a normal deck of playing cards. The idea is that your partner and yourself are trying to form the best four poker hands you can from your hand while playing one card at a time. http://www.davidparlett.co.uk/oricards/concerto.html Other Fun Commercial Card Games That I'd Recommend: 1. Phase 10 - Really simple game by heart, but a lot of fun with the right group of people. http://www.natlassoc.org/fun/games/phase10/phase10r.htm 2. Rook - Another bidding/trump card game. http://www.pagat.com/kt5/rook.html 3. Mu - For those more advanced card game players. In this game you can make a number or a color trump, and they ultimately combine to form three levels of trump! It's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/152/mu-more 4. Skip-Bo - A classic: http://www.boardgamecapital.com/skip-bo-rules.htm 5. Pit - A game that I actually used with my middle school students when I student taught to help showcase some of the craziness of the trades on the stock exchange. Absolutely fun game with a large group of people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pit_(game) 6. Mille Bornes - Another game I played a ton in my youth. http://www.centralconnector.com/GAMES/Milleborne.html 7. Sequence - Combination Board Game/Card Game. I've always wanted to learn how to play a couple of card games as well. Never learned how to play Skat, but was always interested. Brings back a lot of great childhood memories!

Black Chantry Productions are the licensed producers of Vampire: The Eternal Struggle, the collectible card game based on the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade, set in the World of Darkness, the game setting of White Wolf Entertainment. Vampire: The Eternal Struggle is a card game in which you take on the role of an ancient vampire, a Methuselah. For thousands of years you have lurked in the shadows of human societies, manipulating mortals and younger vampires. Your hunger for power knows no bounds, and you use whatever means possible to weaken your enemies, from subtle mischief to frontal assault. You must increase your influence and destroy the other Methuselahs one by one, before they destroy you. The game has been out of print for almost a decade but has been recently picked up by BCP and Paradox Interactive and is going strong now. Why is it the most involved and complex game ever? 1. It's designed for multiplayer - unlike many other card games this one was designed from the ground up to be played by 5 players, not as a duel, by the same person who created MtG and Netrunner. 2. Crazy deck building - you get 2 decks, crypt with vampires that must have at least 12 of them and library with 60-90 cards in it, each without limit on a number of copies of a card. With over 3500 different cards this creates A LOT of possibilities. 3. Crazy gameplay - as soon as you play a card, you draw a card, combo potential is through the roof. 5. Tough choices - in a 5-player environment it's really hard to just bully others as they can simply gang up on you. Also, you only get points for eliminating a player to your left (regardless of who eliminates said player) so there's usually plenty of scheming and dealing with other players involved. Overall, an amazing experience. You can find out more here: https://www.blackchantry.com/ Edit: damn, didn't notice it was a necro from 11 years ago
