I could really do with something like that. Also, the new metro looks sick, although the trailer would've killed me if I had epilepsy.

Its Msi afterburner, its a gpu overclocking utility but it also has an in-game overlay that you can turn on.

Really good at the beginning, a really good attempt at a good game, at the beginning, then HORRIBLY short, HORRIBLY missing its potential, and the worst ending of all time. For a modern game its not that short at all, but haters gotta hate I guess.

Uhhh, I may not know Russian but I know for sure Metro 2034 is the same character and setting. Mainly because I had the ending spoiled for me. What the hell? You people actually like metro 2033? Amongst my friends it is a unanimous disappointment. Really good at the beginning, a really good attempt at a good game, at the beginning, then HORRIBLY short, HORRIBLY missing its potential, and the worst ending of all time. Opinions opinions. I know plenty of people who think STALKER: SoC and CoP are the worst and most boring games on earth but I fucking enjoy them thoroughly. It's just not your type of game, it's not a lot of peoples. The gameplay elements themselves are very average, but those of us who enjoy a story based atmospheric game, and especially those of us who read the book and loved it this is an awesome game. It's by no mean some 10/10, a solid above average and nothing more.

I honestly fail to believe anyone could appreciate the ending. le spoiler- + Show Spoiler + THe FIRST TIME you get to fight one of those creatures is the last?? Seriously the game felt like it was about half way through!!!!! Although I don't know exactly what the point of posting here is. I guess I am taking out my rage of being so incredibly disappointed in Metro 2033 on fans of Metro 2033 ![]()

Props to you for that, I love it so much I have a tattoo of the logo on my right calve. I really really REALLY enjoy atmosphere, it might be my number 1 factor in loving a game. But I have to put Metro 2033 in the same group as the first call of juarez as extremely awesome setup and amazing atmosphere then absolutely TERRIBLE delivery after the game gets developed and basically explaining new sides of the game and then that being the only time you really get to experience that, no time to use anything you get introduced to, basically incredibly shallow and a complete fail. I honestly fail to believe anyone could appreciate the ending. le spoiler- + Show Spoiler + THe FIRST TIME you get to fight one of those creatures is the last?? Seriously the game felt like it was about half way through!!!!! + Show Spoiler + Well, that's the philosophy of The Dark Ones is that they are more of a figurehead than an actual being. They obviously exist, but their weapon is not to fight you but to induce massive fear. But I get your gripe. The looks of the new one seems to be fixing those (legitimate) complaints though of clunky and undelivered gameplay. They are fixing Stealth from what I can see, and hopefully they fix a lot of the gun mechanics. However, at the end of the day, I dont' think they'll move away from the STALKER-esque gun mechanics. Very unforgiving to the point of frustration that turns a lot of people off. And no problem on hating! At least you got an excuse and it's not just baseless THIS GAME SUCKS HURRRRRR. This isn't Suck Metro 2033's Dick thread I know a lot of people dislike this game.

I loved the gameplay, even if it involves a bit of waiting and stepping on the same wire for the 10th time. i also liked that you do not have to shoot to get through the game. edit: and even on ranger mode you do not run out of bullets i hope they add a harder mode for last light

Khan, what a fekin ledgend. The mission where you meet him, you sneak around and he's silently dropping guys all around you from the shadows when they wander out of view of their comrades, felt so slick, just stunning. but now im playing it again, really loving it, atmosphere is so amazing- and i think i even know now why i didnt enjoy the first time: i was too greedy for the graphics ![]() it is so easy to put everything on high, dx 11 and aa to the max and whatnot and say to yourself- weeeell it looks so gorgeous and 28- 40 fps during fights isnt that bat, right? WRONG!!!! I am now playing on medium with forced v sync and have constant 60 fps all the time. And boy what a difference that makes, everything is so smooth and responsive, gunplay so much more fun now and it still looks very good. So i want this to be a lesson to all you nice people on teamliquid: FRAMESPERSECONDMORE IMPORTANTTHANHIGHSETTINGS! and this is of cause true for all first person shooters.

Or the fact that lean accomplishes nothing in 90% of games that simply sidestepping around the corner/obstacle couldn't accomplish easier and quicker. The only game I can think of where it's actually useful is Red Orchestra 2, where it is advantageous to expose as little of yourself as possible. I played and very much enjoyed Metro, though I felt the story/game got a bit muddled and lost after the midway point. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I thought the world they created was really interesting. I also played this one in nvidia 3D vision, which was absolutely superb - the gas masks were especially memorable. You thought it felt claustrophobic when your gas mask was steaming up or cracked? Wait till you do it with 3D vision! You actually feel like you are there peering through the misty mask to see the outside world - the added immersion was palpable. Talking about it makes me want to go replay it actually.....
