Maybe I'll just let Steamworks decide. Mixed opinions so far it sounds like. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. If it works well for me then I'll probably wait a while. If I have less luck I'll hit up 360 Ultra.
Get it! No stupid dp fadc. Less stupid seths. New characters! Way better players than PC. I'm having a shitload of fun atm. It's refreshing.

I don't have a console. So the wait for ultra is real. Well, at least we got a new patch for Goat Simulator

These big downloads too strong against my 16GB xbox HDD D:
I have literally just GTA5 and Ultra on here now, and a few Rock Band songs, which I had to delete many of (and 3SO ) to make room for Ultra.
Excited to hit training mode and play the new 5

So is Decapre anything more than Cammy with a mask? Haven't gotten a chance to play or read about discussion but thats what she looked like to me. There's got to be deeper gameplay than a clone though right?

She's a charge character, she plays totally differently

I actually think the new characters are all pretty weird, albeit unique. They'll be a fine fit and some players will enjoy them, but they don't scare me so far like some of the buffs that existing characters got.

Akuma feels ridiculously good. They may have nerfed the vortex but his footsies buffs are legit.

Is the PS3 version populated? Was playing on PC and it feels like there are 10 people in the world that play it on PC. Wanted to try out a more populated version.

Are you sure you have your region set to "any" instead of "same"? That could make a lot difference. Also could be people aren't playing PC atm cause of Ultra not being released on it yet.
Usually there are plenty of people on PC. Haven't really played since steamworks so that might have changed things though.

Region lock is jacked up on PC right now apparently. See here for more info about issues and upcoming patches.

Just curious, what fighting game reddits are active? I mainly play SF3 but would be interested to see SF4 stuff, MK9 stuff, and maybe some other random old 90s shit that people still play. (I don't really like the games where characters do 100hit juggle air combos).
Also, I have been playing on my razer mx cherry blue kb for the past year or so since my stick broke. It's ok, the movement controls are really the only issue. Easier to fuck up inputs, and harder to do certain things like dashing, super jump + direction, or super/special moves (commonly will get DP when trying to teleport or super as akuma for example). That might just have to do with shitty netcode and/or lag dropping inputs though.
That hitbox seems more intuitive and efficient but it seems like it would be hard to learn. Someone linked me some website (maybe even in this thread) that shows what keys conflict with each other and cause ghosting etc. It enabled me to fix one problem with holding down forward and pressing HK and it not registering.
I use wasd and 789,456

well after playing the game for 2 days, it doesnt give the sensation of "new" at all, new characters are mad weird but decapre is really fun, her execution won't be easy tho, she is very interesting to me even if I didn't anticipate any of the new chars I can see her potential #CLG
as for my main, claw, he plays mostly the same as the old version, rolento will be a pain in the ass to fight against and probably in time decapre will be too but cant assure that yet, the j.lk crossup is very nice adition with solid hitbox, without it and with dw in effect my chances of pressuring on knockdown would have been greatly reduced, but are decent as it is

How can you say Claw plays the same ?
cross up Short, stMK links, red focus combos are all insane new tools for him. SDave meter, crLP > stHK > red focus > whatever is really good.
Ultra was like made for characters like Vega imo.

Rolento seems so boring, and his tools/footsies are wacky. Why are so many people playing him already? I must be missing something.

I was actually surprised I haven't seen more rolento's but your right about his wackyness haha. Its been hard for me to learn the match-up. Maybe I should play as him for a bit to see wtf he is doing. Its been strange to not play vs so many Ryu's. I feel like he was replaced by Poison who I seem to play every 3 people. I picked up Hugo and he is just so much fun. Even when I lose I have a smile on my face most of the time hah. I wish I could see peoples faces when they get clapped 3 times in a row to cr.lk, light lariat, which for some crazy reason I land more online then offline. I guess the lag is helping my timing some how.

Watching ultra streams/tournaments is just excruciating when you can't play. I'm gonna be out of the country for most of the summer otherwise I would have just bought a fucking 360 to play with for two months until the PC-release. FUCK.

I feel you deserve detailed explanation so you can be convinced of my point, but right now I have a meeting and can't give it to you , I will post later or tomorrow, a post with a lot of numbers, since they are much harder to argue

I'm looking forward to your answer, I feel like he's really good, but I don't play him so I can't be sure.
