The same could be said for LeBron...and according to the MVP and first team all-defense voting from coaches and sportswriters, seems like even with all the LeBron hatred that everyone outside of Miami harbors (and some IN Miami, judging from comments like yours), they seem to think the opposite. Either way, can this garbage stop? At the end of the day, they're DIFFERENT players.

If Boston was the better team, they would have at least won a game in Miami before Rondo got hurt. But they didn't. Miami looked like the better team at the end of the season when Rondo was healthy and in the first two games when Rondo was healthy. Boston never played the same after they traded Perkins. They ended the season on a bad note and beat the mighty Knicks who were missing a healthy Amare in the first round. Boston isn't the same team that won the championship in 2008. Hell they aren't the same team that went to it last year. Miami is better. Yes, I agree with this sumary. Boston has been fading ever since that trade, even though Perkins didn't actually play that much for Boston with all his injuries. For a while it looked like they would finish #1 in the East, then they tanked hard to fall to 3rd. I also feel a little vindicated after saying a few times during the second half of the regular season than Miami was arguably the most dangerous team in the playoffs, due to their superstars and advanced metrics showing that they had played better than their record during the regular season. This despite the fact that I want them to lose, and will be rooting for Chicago On May 12 2011 11:03 rei wrote: The only reason Celtics won that one game was because after rondo came back from the injury the heat players won't even touch him and let him just freely run around doing uncontested lay ups. Heat basically let celtics have that game out of pity, how many times have Rondo catch the ball with one hand? dribble the ball with one hand, Never once did Miami players force Rondo to go left by positioning themselves to the right, hell they didn't even close up on him when he picks up the ball and looking for a pass, they did everything they can to allow Rondo to do his thing. When Rondo got injured, Boston was already up 10. He came back in the 4th quarter, and the Celts were up 11 at that point. Rondo's first points after the injury made the score 81-63, and the Heat only ended up scoring 81 points all game. Playing relaxed defense on Rondo had nothing to do with the final outcome of game 3. Rondo only had 6 points; it was Garnett (28) and Pierce (27) that had the big games. This was a legit win but it had as much to do with Miami playing poor offense (81 points wouldn't have beaten Boston in any game this series) as anything.

LeBron and Wade have been playing awe-inspiring Basketball lately and Bosh starts to mesh in as an elite role-player which has played a crucial part in their recent success (at least that's how I perceive the Heat's situation). I can't wait to see how the Bulls (I don't believe Atlanta makes it) handle the nightmare that is a slashing Wade and the dominance that surrounds James' play. They might even be able to handle the Heat's offence but I believe they get slaughtered by Miami's defence. I expect another Mavs-Heat Finals and I firmly believe that series could go either way, both teams have nights where they play absolutely astonishing Basketball.

Congratulations you have now reached the level of 2009 Orlando, beating Boston, but not really since they are missing their most important player :D. was 2-0 before then, maybe he should've dislocated the other one so they could win another game in the series whatever helps you sleep at night, just remember that beating an injured team doesnt really mean much. If you honestly thought that Miami was going to 4-1 Boston without an injured Rondo you need to watch more basketball. You mean whatever helps you sleep at night because you fail to acknowledge that the Heat were up 2-0 before the Rondo injury. Miami is the better team. I've been saying it all year long. They would have beaten Boston if Rondo were healthy. Not a doubt in my mind. I think them going up 2-0 when Rondo was healthy, and beating them right at the end of the season proves that. Yea, because Delonte turning the ball over in game 4, and having Paul Pierce over exert himself on both ends of the floor because of no primary ball handler didnt have an effect on game 5. They were up 2-0, so what? they won two home games, if Rondo wasnt injured in game 3 who knows how the next few games would have played out. Its asinine to think that Rondos injury didnt have a majour impact on this series, downright insulting tbh. ...and, calling the Heat the 2009 version of Orlando isn't downright insulting, when the two teams having nothing in common except for beating Boston? Defense wins championships, and the Heat play better team D than every other team in the league. Orlando was just a great but limited interior with sporadic outside shooting, and weak everything else. As far as injuries go with Rondo...yeah, sure, but I can also say that the Heat would be a totally different and better team with a healthy Haslem and Miller - and the result might have been the same even if Boston had a healthy Rondo and Perkins. Remember when Bill Simmons scoffed at the Heat's roster, then pissed his pants when the Heat signed Mike Miller? Yeah...speculation is meaningless, so...who cares? I didnt call them 2009 Orlando, i said they accomplished as much as them, so far, which as we all know isnt much of an accomplishment. Mike Miller? Thats your injured player to throw out there, Haslem ill buy since he is a banger, but Mike Miller? They will be looking to trade that useless contract in the off season like they tried before the trade deadline. Congratulations to the heat for winning, but please dont act like winning game 4 and game 5 were some huge feat, the heat were EXPECTED to win the series anyways.

I had no idea who he was but he was AMAZING. I've never seen a player that was such a force of nature. He was amazing against Pitt. Against Kentucky? I think he had a triple double. He is so great to watch.

.. and Conley is shooting like a drunken monkey, he didn't contribute too much last game either (bar the huge three to extend the game).. 3 for 15 in total, and 3 for 14 of them being within the arc - that won't get you further into the playoffs :\
