Won't happen in the playoffs since all his misses came during the regular season. Remember the 1-19 with 10 seconds left or w/e? Yeah... they got all that stuff out when it didn't matter.

It seemed like the Mavs were getting pretty good shots on offense that they just weren't able to convert for whatever reason. Maybe it's Finals jitters, but I suspect that Terry and Barea will shoot better in this series. Nice contributions from Chalmers, Miller and Haslem, outplaying the Mavs' bench.
I don't think you can look at this game and conclude anything except that the teams are pretty evenly-matched and that it should be a good series.

I was at the AAC tonight watching the game from Dallas. And the crowd was so disappointed when they lost. But when we went up by 7 at one point, man the atmosphere was electrifying. Wish my first AAC experience resulted in a win though :/

Dirk has torn tendon on his middle finger in the left hand. Luckily non-shooting hand. Given that, I think it will affect his ball handling skills though. How little or how much, we shall see!

Ummm....... wow. I just noticed. North East, where Maine is. The 4 states in that north east corner, they have over 70% hate for the Heat. What's up with that?

Well that poll doesn't really surprise me. People seem to think that Dallas deserves this more, and that the Heat can probably sustain runs like this in the future quite easily, while this may be Dallas' last shot.

Salty Celtics fans! Massachusetts has the lowest love for the Heat at 7% and the highest hate at 74%...

If you looked at his first two threes, he was completely wide open, and the Mavs didn't either bother to box him out due to a lengthy sequence of ball movement.

This happened a lot not just with Lebron too. The Mavs kinda got lucky that bibby/chalmers missed so many super wide open shots. The zone seems to be the only way they can play a smaller line up against the heat but it's also leading to a lot of long range holes. Lebron literally had like 5+ seconds for one of his shots where he kind of just stared for awhile to see if anyone would come.

If you're concerned about averages, you should wait for the Mavericks to hit an open shot. Peja was 0-3 and Terry was 3-10. A lot of those shots were good solid looks. Heat looked good though; winning ugly is an art for younger teams.
EDIT: Oh right, Heat are still 7-15 in games decided by 5 points or less. UNCLUTCH LOL.

Meh, what a poor shooting performance by Dallas, this game could have been in reach. I get too emotionally invested in these finals, I am already scared shitless. But well, Miami is just really good, so what can you do.

yeah i know what you mean.
but ive been keeping an eye on the heats during their playoff run this year and they've been pretty clutch and making important shots during crunch time. so for all their "unclutchness" during the regular season, they are making up for it now =)

The Heat have turned the beast mode on now, and Wade and Lebron can't seem to miss in the 4th quarter now.

you guys think heats have the 3 of the best 4 players from both teams? or does dallas have players that match or surpass lebron/wade/bosh other than dirk?

Dirk, Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Terry, Chandler, Haslem, Marion, Barea, Kidd.

It's safe to say Heat have 3 of the best 4 on the floor. Especially considering how well Bosh did against the Bulls with 30+ pt games. Only person who can contend is Marion and I believe Bosh is better offensively AND defensively than he is.
|
It's not unlike the Bulls-Heat matchup in that the Heat have 3 of the best 4 players but then Dallas has the next 4 or 5 best players (including players coming off the bench). Haslem and Miller have both been playing really well considering the injuries though, so who knows.
