gotta give credit to j.r. smith two clutch threes even though they lost.

Wow Pacers making it 5 games. Interesting. Guess the "No team has come back from 3-0" stat doesn't encourage them but we'll see. West is looking to be an interesting side..memphis up 2-1 and portland being up. Let's see if the Hornets can take another from LA at New Orleans.

I don't get all the Roy surprise. When you look at his injury and how long it should take him to recover he is at the time that he should be starting to come back. So we have a player who was a bona fide all star, he is getting back to all star form and people are surprised because why?
Bynum and Paul are doing the same thing. Its not like the talent evaporates when your knee explodes, it sets you back for sure, but sometimes you come back. Obviously he has the will to ignore some of the creaks and pain and is doing it.

I remember reading somewhere that doctors said he have 1 or 2 years left before he is out of the league, that's why im surprised. Plus it was an incredible comeback...

Lol because his knees were to a point where doctors, experts and even himself thought he could never play high-level basketball ever again? Have you been watching how many minutes he's been getting or what he's been doing? Comparisons to Bynum and Paul don't even work. They have been playing a lot and doing the same thing. Roy hasn't.

woooh broy is the man! and what a crazy comeback by the blazers holy crap.
i bet all my marbles that he'll have a sub par performance in the next game. he never really plays that well in consecutive games. hope he proves me wrong though.

The doctors/experts said the same thing about him and Blair when they came into the league.

Oh boy, the mavs are the most pathetic playoff team I can ever imagine. Every year you think "it's gonna be different"...
I am so stupid to still follow the games. Maybe Dirk gets a ring when he is 37 and plays 5 minutes a game for the lakers or sth.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

The problem with Brandon Roy's knees is that there is almost no cartilage left. There are only short term treatments to alleviate the pain, and it's unlikely he'll ever play at an all star level again. That's why his performance yesterday was so remarkable - he was able to turn back the clock and play at the same level he was 2 years ago.

Too bad for him the potential game tying one was contested really well by Harden. Though do you think its a foul?

Yeah, I've always been a Mavs fan since I was raised there. The Mavs will never win a title with Dirk as the "leader" of the team when they need others to be the defensive anchor (Chandler), emotional leader (Terry), help others play better (Kidd). Sad to say but I expect the Trailblazers to win in 7. Looks like another meltdown like 2006.

As a Knicks fan to the coach, please do not play Amare for the sake of the long-run big picture.
I'm pretty stoked for Heat/Celtics, which I think the heat will win in 6 games and then Heat/Bulls, which I have no idea wtf is gonna happen.

No, knee injuries are not the same. Dejuan Blair doesn't have acls, so he's healthy until he twists his knee. Brandon Roy has no cartilage so basically his knees are continually being damaged.

The criticism of Dejuan coming into the NBA was a joke. He was a beast in college in the same condition his is now (acl wise). He made Thabeet look like the chump he was, and honestly was the best thing going for Pitt while he was there. I guess they were afraid cause he is short as well (for his position), but he has a pretty crazy wing span, and a huge Charles Barkley booty. Roy's problem was he was amazing (possibly a top 5 player) before multiple nagging injuries forced multiple surgeries and minor operations, its been a long time since we have seen Brandon play anything like that, and it was before all this mess (maybe his last great games before this were in the playoffs vs the Suns after he had surgery the first time). I don't really think its a big deal, but if you put yourself in Brandon Roy's shoes (which is what being a sports-fan is all about sometimes), you can tell how relieved that game must have made him feel, a lot of weight should have been lifted off his shoulders, even though the Blazers are gonna try and lean on him more now.
