Just started playing this game as of yesterday. Very interesting experience. I'm always surprised to see the amount of people playing and none of these guys are NPCs. Although I think it should be said 500 players could in reality fill a server to a decent degree, because 100 people in one location seems enough.

Idk, it's a weird experience, although I don't know how sustainable their form of micro-transactions are.,

EDIT: Oh and esports is impossible with this impossible right?

That's kinda the idea of micro transactions. People with that mindset of "oh no, I don't want them to fall under! I better support them with some purchase!". It adds up. That being said if you end up getting into the game the guns aren't Pay2Win but are sometimes pretty cool to play with.

The UES was fun :p. Although we NC rolled the VS and TR (Won all 3 woo!) In Genudine.

Hey, I just started trying this game out, see if it runs. I'll see about joining the outfit once I figure everything out.

e. The UI is really bad. uh, okay the game runs like utter crap for me, doesn't matter what settings i tweak.

A trend in this thread I don't really understand is why people want to "figure out stuff" before joining one of the outfits advertised here on TL. Why not just join straight away and have experienced people help you explain and figure things out and at the same time provide a better overall experience as a new player?

Maybe that's just me.

Because they don't help you or explain things in my experience. They just bark orders and expect you to know basics and then chew you out or kick you if you don't do as directed... even if you're just trying to figure out how the fuck to buy a tank and where that random place is that he just told you to go to.

E: can't speak for the TL outfits of course

Im not that good with the default light assault gun in the TR. I do prefer something with less recoil. what is recommended?

Check out the TR Carbine stats

The LC3 might be more to your liking since it has more balanced horizontal recoil.

For LA, go Jaguar with advanced laser sight, that thing hip fires during jump jetting better than like half weapons in the game crouching with it. Just to ham on people, fly over them while spraying, few people can properly track you if you suddenly fly very high.

So, I'm not a PS2 player at all. I don't love the game, played it for about a week before I got bored of it. I came here to ask, how people feel that MLG will be adding this game to their lineup?

I personally find it really stupid since this game is an MMOFPS and it isn't made to be a competitive title, at least not on a eSport level. Changing some stuff to the game so it could become an eSport would go against the core design of it and that's just really dumb. I feel that they are making the same mistake that NASL made when they added Tribes. NASL did some Tribes tournaments sure, but look at it now, its pretty much dead. I also think that PS2 is just a really really really boring game to watch, even worst than MOBA games. I don't get why tournaments are trying to add games that eSport teams aren't supporting. As much as I like eSport and would like it to grow to it's full potential, I can't see why adding PS2 in MLG would be a good idea.

Anyone that wants to get involved with an NC outfit "Crash Test Dummies" we have well over 1000 members on the Helios server is super helpful and will explain anything you need help with. Specifically look for Rodale who is the outfit leader and has more patience than I've ever seen from an RPG leader.

The TL outfits are very newb friendly and open to questions. I'd recommend joining one if you like people on this site, only two are still active but they're great groups of players. It's mostly the same TL players switching between the two servers now I think.

That's pretty much my point. Now I don't have 1st hand experience with the TL outfits, but what I do know is that most people who care enough to frequent a specific subforum and be nice and intelligent about it will usually be cool people from TL.net. With that established it should simply be an easy choice to pick them over a random broadcast for help and enjoyment.

It was discussed like, on last page or so. I don't think anyone here really expects anything good to come of it in terms of competition or returns on investment on the venture. I know I don't.

The bug in question is impossible to _not notice_, so if you are using it you are clearly exploiting a bug.

It sometimes (rarely) happens that vehicles get repaired instantly to full whenever you use the repair tool on that vehicle, i.e. as long as someone repairs it, it's indestructible since it will go from 1% to 100% with a simple leftclick.
Such a repair rate is impossible to achieve otherwise, so it's obvious that the vehicle is bugged whenever it happens.

Yeah, it's a bug and it should be fixed either way, but you are still abusing the bug when you use that vehicle when it happens, no matter if you caused it intentionally - if that's even possible - or unintentionally. It's rare enough anyways that it shouldn't be too bad to just deconstruct it and pull another vehicle.
