For example, it happened to me and an outfit mate, we were flying a lib, landed to repair, took off as normal afterwards. Then after some time in the air we noticed that our lib was being repaired on its own. It's not like god mode, it's just the effect of a single repair gun, so concentrated heavy fire will still kill you, but it does nullify light anti air effects. The bug faded on its own after a while for us and we didn't even notice it first.

In fact, with the hex crash exploit, there is a pattern where even repeat offenders got away because they didn't abuse it hard enough. The angry words of a game designer upset about people abusing his baby should be taken in the context given.

I absolutely hate talking but somehow people still want me to lead them to victory and i'm stupid enough to do it. In GW1 i ended up as guild leader and led GvG matches. In LotRO i ended up leading PvP battles (similar to GW2 WvW) In Nuclear Dawn (Similar to Natural Selection), i regularly ended up as Commander. At work i ended up leading more than the department manager. Now i'm starting to lead platoons in PS2. What's wrong with me? Well, it was still fun eventhough i had to talk more than i did at a birthday party a few days ago. I ended up playing MMA style, sending squads to different places all the time for maximum efficiency and rarely having all of them at one place. Worked out great, we managed to push really hard into enemy territory, taking bases in record time with minimum overkill. Sadly the rest of the NC were useless. We pushed the TR back almost to Mao Tech Plant with barely any other friendlies around and we almost got warpgated by the VS on maxed out 33/33/33 Indar. We pull back to the warpgate to push back the VS and we reach and capture Peris Amp Station... and TR are close to warpgating us. Well, at least NC held the crown after we capped it in 3 minutes under Zukhovs lead.

I've often felt the same way playing with the same group of friends in several games. I don't really see myself as a great leader, and I don't enjoy it either. However nobody else ever wants to step up and they'd rather not play a game at all than lead. A lot of hardcore gamers have confidence issues as well which is something I've thought about...couldn't say if that could be a cause though. I'm glad me and my friends joined a decent outfit together in ps2 though, makes things much more relaxing for me.

To me, the sensible thing in these ops would be to seek a good battle. Take all that force and grab something important and then hunker down. Keep it as long as you can. Make a really good fight. Capping empty hexes and slowly being bled to death and cut off is just boring, but that's what most of the ops I've been part do, same what the zergs do, just a bit slower.

Also, what do you think is the funnest faction to play? Currently on NC On January 29 2013 08:56 daemir wrote: The thing with this game currently is, I see no point doing these massive "ops" to conquer lands. Why bother? Someone will ghost cap them back 5 minutes after you moved on and NOBODY posts sentries or garrisons behind. So why do it? To me, the sensible thing in these ops would be to seek a good battle. I only play Indar because thats where the only worthwhile fights are. amazing small-scale fights can break out on amerish/esamir sometimes but they seem rarer and rarer nowdays.

On some servers, only Indar has any action. On others like Miller, all continents can have action at the same time. It really depends on what environment you like and how your server is. I personally prefer Esamir because i like ice, others prefer the hills of Amerish and then there are some that prefer the variied terrain of Indar.

I dislike that huge of a punishment for something which is inevitable in a game like this, and where deaths really aren't supposed to mean anything regardless. Instead they should've simply buffed all facility capture bonuses and introduced continent capture bonuses to emphasize the importance of the bigger objective instead of de-emphasizing the means to the end.

Wait a second. I figured out something was wrong with the update because the game crashed (silly of me!) so went into Steam to verify cache integrity, and it wants me to redownload the whole game, I'll buy everyone a donut if it's not the old version because you know, you put your game on a distribution platform, you decide you dislike going through it to update, so you do your own launcher, but ignore the fact that a lot of the point of a distribution platform is for people to have their game updated and instead of just serving as a giant damn billboard. So the 4GB update turned into a 18GB download because Sony is such a great company that they must hire their technical staff straight out of a mental hospital. And people were complaining about the 2GB update of Dota 2. If only Valve made an FPS... oh shit Valve please have my money (and babies). 2nd and last time Sony screws me up.
