Bethesdas creation kits (TES kit, GECK) have been so powerful tools to mess with in the past, and i hope they will be releasing them for Skyrim aswell (havent confirmed this from anywhere yet). From single player adventures to all kind of modifications to the exact game, there are just no limits. Yeah including user-made content there will probably be at least 600-700 hours of awesome fun play! soooo worth 60$ or whatever.

I understand i can put the PC onto my TV for my monitor. Just yeah....opinions on strengths and weakness on the two? Get it for PC if you are sure your pc can handle it really well

People to this day are still adding creatures, areas, dungeons, playable races, quests, graphics improvements and story elements to both Oblivion and Morrowind. (Mods cannot be put on console games.)

but there is one reason to get console: if you have a big-ass HDTV and like sitting on a couch for the full theatric experience for such a beautiful game ![]()

EDIT: I'm also hoping the change to combat and how archery works will keep me involved in the game. I just had such a hard time with combat when i had to fight that it took me out of the stories and i never actually finished Oblivion. Prob by most standards never even put a dent into the game.

On a personal note; the biggest thing I want out of the new TES game is greater variety in the base weapons. If you think about it, and especially in oblivion, the variety of base weapons have been really disproportionately small - compared to the expansive variety built into the environment, magics, and etc. Enchantments have always seemed like an artificial extension that don't really add depth (more like just attacking and casting a spell at the same time). Oblivion had, what; 10 grades of weapons? And they only indicated marginally differing damage to weight ratios? The only mechanical difference was silver weapons (and maybe daedric?) doing damage to certain enemies otherwise immune (if I remember correctly). If that's untrue, then it certainly felt that way to me. I think there's definitely room for improvement there.

Probably not the best place to ask this, but does anyone know if it's worth waiting a few months to start building a pc for this? Is there anything specific coming out in the next few months that will lower prices or would you expect things to stay mostly the same?

Edit: I do know that newegg is having some pretty good sales right now, thought (and usually do throughout the summer.) So, if you're trying to build a system, now might be the time to shop. ![]()

Well, AMD's new processor line (Bulldozer) is supposed to be coming out soon, but the details on the release date are sketchy and constantly changing. This will most likely cause Intel's Sandy Bridge CPUs to drop in price as they'll be competing against each other, and give us all good deals on high end CPUs. I haven't looked up the details on it in a while, so if I'm mistaken someone feel free to correct me.

Because of all the user-made content / mods that will extend your playtime to.. Infinity. Can't get those on consoles.
